The fabulous world of bug netting

The two ways I’ll be dealing with cabbage worms this year are BT – bacillus thuringiensis (more on that latter) and ultra fine mesh netting.

The netting I bought if you want to check it out: https://amzn.to/3MvKHfv

This is actually my first time using netting. Last fall the cabbage worms greatly enjoyed our kale and I figure this is a great time to test out a physical barrier.

I tied a string around the raised bed to keep the netting from opening up. I think I’ll go back and put something on top of the sticks to make them less pointy. I can see them cutting into the netting.

Have you used bug netting before? How did it work out?
