  3. Oh, now you done done it. I sometimes mix up different videos on different monitors and tweak the volume of each video until I get just the right audio mix. The left-facing outpost video of yours I watched yesterday will go on the left 32" monitor on the left side of my desk and this on the wall-mounted 43" TV in front. I'll find something for the 15" laptop monitor on the right side. A little tweaking the audio levels on each and… Immersion!

The low volume radio chatter makes these ambient soundscapes so immersive You can actually see yourself sitting at that desk looking out into the wilderness…..how about a short story to make this outpost real???? Central command this Eco Bravo 1107 we are currently help up in Outpost Sigma Lima Alpha. After several patrols on the perimeter we are noticing evidence of attempted breeches by unknown bogeys. We are currently using 2×2 cover formations in the event these bogeys may try to surprise us. We are requesting a backup strike team to meet us at the Delta Bravo LZ. We are going with radio silence from here on out. I know this is not SOP but we need to find out what we are dealing with. Eco Bravo 1107 out!!

  10. Yknow; I didn’t expect much from this assignment when I first got it.

    But I considered it a blessing; quiet, remote, nothing but my thoughts, the near constant rain on Eridanus, the quiet chatter from the comms, and the breathtaking wilderness I’d only ever seen back home on Earth.

    It was definitely an adjustment, being so far from home for the first time was fuckin terrifying, and God only knew what wildlife was out here; but I’ve been here going on three months now, watching NavMaps and listening to comms chatter, and the only weird things I ever saw were these freaky flying squirrel looking things that had no fur and had lizard heads.

    So far though those even were pretty harmless. But the nights were long on Eridanus, and the longer you were left to your own devices….well-

    The more I began to realize your mind fucks with you in isolation. So much so I started to hear strange clicking sounds from over the comms.

    It was almost imperceptible at first. So much so even my meathead brothers in arms in the infantry that were down on the ground mapping the place out for future colonization couldn’t hear it. And I thought that it was just me, all in my head because of being isolated like I was and psyching myself out.

    That is, at first.

    But it started getting progressively louder, always coming in short, two or three second intervals. And before long my comms were swamped with squads talking to one another about what the hell that sound was.

    Then they started seeing shit out of the corner of their vision. Like a whoosh of air when they knew they’d cleared that very same sector just a second ago; and when they looked on their thermals…nothin. Not even a blip in temperature spike.

    But then the squads started freaking the fuck out; I heard the chatter of gunfire over the comms, felt my heart nearly stop when I heard the screams seconds after.

    Menace 1-1 only managed to get out “CONTACT! XENO-“ before their comms went dead too.

    Then I saw the branch off to my left shake. Like someone-

    Or someTHING landed right on it, but as I looked over? Nothing. Except….

    I could see the rain…..it was bouncing off of it, silhouetting what looked like thin air, but it- it was fucking massive! 8 or 9 feet at least!

    But as I was lookin at it, I felt a chill crawl up my spine. That very same one you feel when you’re being watched, and as I focused my eyes better on it, I realized-

    It was watchin me. But before I could scream, it took off out of the tree and down into the forest below, off in the direction of Pathfinder Actual’s FOB.

    I contemplated warning them over comms, but….after what I heard? What I’d seen? There was no way in hell they’d be able to fight that thing! Especially if there were more of em, like I thought.

    So….I crawled under my desk, and hid as best I could, curling up into a ball and praying to be somewhere, ANYWHERE but here.

    I was getting the fuck out of here come morning; but until then…all I could do was hide, cursed to hear the sounds of Pathfinder Actual meeting the same fate as the other marines down there.

    I just don't like the background sound. Very subtle but it's there and gets my ears tired. For instance, at 27:29 is probably when the background sound end his loop and it is so much better, but then restarts.
    I like rain and voices on the radio.

    Could you please upload a version without that ominous sound and no music?
    I also suggest you to put intermitting voices.
