Every year or two I like to put a bit of a recap together to bring us up to speed.
For any new players coming along, there has been quite a bit of story covered across the two games, and looking at my channel alone, there have been around 150 videos talking about the Division timeline.

Amazing video. I just got back into D2 on Xbox series S and was clueless about the storyline especially after WLONY. Had I known this lore was this deep I would have kept on playing since launch of D1. Amazing work and I subscribed.

I love the lore of this series even in the expanded media universe it's freaking fantastic one of the better Ubisoft franchises even if the gameplay doesn't always live up to the hype the universe is amazing

The division was a series I was fairly interested in but never got aboard, are both games worth playing if I want to learn more about the lore?
I'm definitely more of a ghost recon person myself but even the hunters stick out as a very interesting faction gameplay and lore wise
I wonder if a Division 3 is in the works that would be cool

Forgot to mention that black tusk were there the entire time, even from the beginning. They are the reason a cure hasn't been able to be developed because they took and killed the lead scientist, Jim kelleher. And I believe in my own head canon, they were the ones that also gave Amherst the tools and genes to create the dollar flu, cause how is a civilian able to gain all these genes of viruses normally, especially smallpox. Unless I'm wrong and don't know how easy it is to create a homemade version of smallpox.

Many thanks for your continual work knitting together the threads that the Div lays out. It’s brought the story to greater life, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the devs have leaned into the story in these later seasons in part because you’ve demonstrated how much we all appreciate and anticipate it.

I think the only flaw with virus, at least now, is the fact that it was placed on cash and spread that way. Cash seemingly is even less popular than it was ten years ago when the game was written
