  1. It has been awhile since I was in physics class but that cube pit isn't Twitch's fault.

The cubes should absorb force when you fall into them by being pushed off. Since you'll land long relative to them the cubes won't move out of the way without absorbing the force. Jumping off though will let your legs snake through and make the impact on what is under the cubes.

This is ignoring the fact you can't see the floor and are likely to twist your ankle and fall.

In general don't jump off stuff unless you want to get injured.

  2. Honestly, pretty based of Twitch for giving Dream a small room, forcing thousands of Dream stans to not be able to enter and not even giving them enough room for Dream to have his own microphone lmfao. Dream and his toxic fans deserved it. Also letting Amouranths (don't care if it's spelt wrong) stalker in to see her was pretty based too (she's a POS). ALSO Also having the foam pit be basically a death trap, causing a degenerate porn star to be SERIOUSLY injured and probably forcing her to not do porn for a long while is EXTREMELY based.

  3. The situation with Dream SMP’s panel reminds me a lot of Andrew Hussie (the creator of Homestuck) at San Diego Comic Con during the peak of Homestuck’s popularity. This was probably 2012-2013? I don’t recall precisely. Keep in mind, at this point in time, Homestuck fans had crashed Newgrounds and MegaUpload when the latest update animation had gone up. So the numbers were huge. So that year at SDCC, Andrew’s first year there, he was going to do an autograph signing. SDCC’s staff didn’t take him seriously on the sheer magnitude of Homestuck fans and told him to just have the signing at his tiny little merch booth (which was being shared with other artists at that merch company) in the middle of the dealer hall.

Needless to say that did not go well. The line was very nicely organized (Homestuck fans are apparently less insane than Dream fans, if I’ve learned anything from this past Twitchcon lmao), but the line did take up the entire walkway for the center of the dealer hall, and wrapped around the sides of the hallway. Security and staff was so confused and kept asking us why we were there and we kept insisting it was the line for his autographs.

So day 2, the con wised up. When we all started lining up, staff came over and had the entire line walk single file from the dealer hall, up to the second floor into the autograph area. And they gave Andrew his own autograph table. The walk there was a bit insane (imagine funneling several hundred fans in a single file line throughout a con center LOL). But day 3, he started at the autograph table so the line was more easily contained. The next year, they gave him an autograph table day 1 haha. And the year after, he was stationed at a building across the street from the con center at a game company’s setup (i forget the company, but he’d written a game for them that year that was some kind of weird atari dating sim, i dont remember). That was a good move though because the crowd was probably twice the size of previous years and we took up the entire venue and wrapped around outside.

Anyways, cons need to stop underestimating big creators.

  4. I expect multiple lawsuits to come from this. Based on the over crowding to get into Dream's panel and how dangerous it was, that could result in a class action depending on the severity of injuries. But I haven't heard of any serious injuries from that As for the foam pit, the amount of people injured might not reach the level of class action which means there are going to be multiple lawsuits. Anyone involved with the running of the foam pit are going to be sued. But it will likely come down to Twitch, Lenovo and maybe Intel depending on their level of involvement. It could be that Intel were there to just demo the new laptops to show off their new tech. Adriana Chechik is probably the only person who really has a chance of getting a major settlement. But if it went to trial, the jury or judge would decide who is the most liable through various factors. This will likely impact her ability to work, she will be in pain, probably for the rest of her life. We've seen that she can walk now, but she could be a cripple because of this. That waiver is not going to protect them from this gross negligence.
