Good that you mentioned the economical zone that goes with Chrimea and the gigantic oil and gas fields under the bottom of the sea ground. Large finds of gas and oil are also in the eastern and western parts on mainland Ukraine and most in the Donbas area which can be one big reason for Russias attack. The fields were found in 2010 and a big oil company had already started production in Donbas when Russia helped the so called Russian population in that area to free themselves.
