This is the 1954 Studebaker Champion returning home after a catastrophic pothole hit Saturday afternoon.
Looks like the A-Frame just snapped. Fortunatly it’s not dead for good. I will be uploading a video of the repair when it’s complete along with a tour of the car and of course a drive about town!

I think that using tubing for suspension is not a very good idea. It might be a weight saver but I think the engineers knew what they were doing when it came to safety and reliability. Unless your using high quality steel and I'm don't think anyone is using high quality steel.
It's very apparent that someone was very lucky ! 😳
A Studebaker
On some tv car shows they buy an updated modern frame ( some with airbags suspension) capabilities, then place a new GM LX4 motor and gearbox in the frame.
Are you able to do this with this classic car ??🤔
My 1953 Studebaker was a great looking car for $100 . Unfortunately the motor blew up and I left it on the side of the road.
The styling of the early pony cars and Corvettes. Sleek and very desirable design. Premature for a market where cars were still shaped like JUNE BUGS.
Whatever it takes, you've got to fix it. Studebaker's forever.
Injury…not death… I was expecting a fireball and a pool of molten metal
"Death"?
Drama Queen.
Like the 6 million dollar man, we can rebuild it, we have the technology….better than it was before…better, stronger…faster.
