  1. With the digimon having their bonds with their tamer at 100 and their bonds with each other over 55, Ed should now be to do my favorite thing in the game: EXE-ing on command once a day for the tough battles. During those moments, it feels like you're playing an anime and I love it 🤩

Tip of the video: If the digimon train while they're tired (or when they have the sweat drops over their head) their lifespans will shorten.

  2. Having a bit of trouble thinking up a tip for today since i want to save the food tip for the Restaurant Unlock. So ill guess ill just leave a comment on the World 1 vs Next Order Question.

I like both, however Next Order is quite a bit better in terms of time spent enjoying the game. World 1 is a good good however Next order does just about all of it better. The major argument that World 1 is better that i could agree with is the amount of mystery that world 1 shoves at you to try and figure out the game.

I could go on and on for hours discussing the 2 games, but ill just say for a newer player play next order and go back eventually and see how Next order got its basics, and just enjoy both games.

  3. When both partners got 150+ Order power, you can use both special move (Limit break) at the same time for more damage, just hold both L and R buttons to open both order panels and the special combo panel will appear

  4. I mean, I love Digimon World 1, but Re:Digitize did fix most of its gameplay flaws and Next Order is building on Re:Digitize. I would say Next Order is better in most ways than DW1 (better than Re:Digitize, I am not so sure), but I do like the world in DW1 a bit more, even if it is largelly because of many of the environments in DW1 were just a tad more melancholic, mysterious and/or grim which is more my jam. And also a bit of pre-rendered backgrounds Detail/Nostalgia.

And I do think the gameplay loop worked a little better with just 1 Digimon and going up to Ultimate rather than Mega. Even if 2 Digimon do make for a more robust Battle System, I don't think you come to care that much for either when you have 2 partners, and the possibility of getting the player into desynchronized evolutions over time feels like a massive oversight. Plus, you could probably make a robust battle system involving just the player and 1 Digimon by perhaps taking some notes from Tamers and Savers, and have the player either use more situational equipment(cards) and items during the battle, or just actively go and punch some Digimon themselves alongside their partner.

And I also think adding Megas to the gameplay loop hurts it a little bit, since there is more wait until your Digimon can reach the end-game power, you end up spending a bit too long per Digimon life span on the high end of power so you feel like you lose a ton when it dies (and thus like you'll have to rebuild a lot to get back to that power again), and tbh, it is hard for me to see most Mega digimon as "Pets" since most Megas are so humanoid, and the game is basically a V-Pet RPG.

That said, personally where I'd move the Digimon World games is more towards Stardew Valley/Animal Crossing kind of farm/social simulation. Perhaps even add a bit of Town Builder.

  5. The thing of Numemon only giving you one porta potty, actually balances you out. Kuromon gives you one every day, and he gives you the second one.

12:55 how the hell do you have 76 hours played? that's like twice the amount of time you need to actually do pretty much everything in the game xD did you just leave the game playing over night every day or something? lol

15:00 When there is a story progression quest in an area, digimon are despawned until the quest is finished.

  6. Hi ed just a tip for you when your training your digimon and their hungry or wanna go to the toilet you should let them since training passes an hour in game and if an hour passes and you don't feed them or take them to the toilet it will count as a training mistake which good lock out some of their evolution since they need one or less mistakes made while training.
Also while training you need to keep track of their fatigue because if it's more than half there is a chance that they could become sick which is the only way to heal at the moment would be to use a medicine which only has a small chance of working.
Also are you should try to read the abilities that they have since the abilities they have in the middle the one that cost 50 points to use can be helpful and range anywhere from healing to buffing your you can read it in the attack skills section in your partner's menu.
Love your videos btw you got me back in the game.

  7. You should train against strong enemies around your digmon’s skill level. If done right, you’ll gain like 24 for each stat and the fights dont take away time from uour day. My biggest mistake was constantly training my digimon and by the time i could actually use them they’d be on the edge of death. Of course, this can be a time consuming method (for irl at least) but it’s worth it in the long run.

  9. Just a heads up, some Digimon need facilities to be built before you can recruit them. So if they're saying they're holding off on joining, or they don't respond to you at all, that's usually the reason.
