  1. Sean Bean, I own Patriot' Game, The Lord Of The Ring's trilogy, and Final Fantasy XV Kingsglaive with him, such a great actor.
I finally got Johnny Lightning's Vought F4U Corsair from their Korea The Forgotten War series.
Great as usual. Take care, and all the best.

Sorry buddy but here you are wrong. Terribly wrong. That 'Tipu Sultan the rocket pioneer' is a myth. In fact, the earliest war rockets which both the Brits and French encountered were Maratha war rockets which was longer in range, more deadly, larger in size and of better quality in comparison with Tipu's war rockets. This propaganda is nothing but pure BS and the result obsession with Tipu the tyrant and his glorification by Brits and a section of Indians(who are either ignorant of history or have their biases and agendas).

This 'Tipu the pioneer of rocket artillery' is actually a myth and is mostly a result of the propaganda by some people to glorify and over-hype Tipu Sultan.

Tipu Sultan neither developed war rockets nor he was the first one to use in wars. War rockets in India, have been in use long before Tipu was even born(1751). The armies in India have been using war rockets, at least since the 14th century. When Taimur aka Timur Lame invaded Northern India and reached Delhi in 1398, the army of Tughlaq dynasty(which was weakened by that time) of Delhi Sultanate battled with them and used war rockets against Timurids and were initially successful. Timur's troops were shocked. They suffered losses from those war rockets.

As the gunpowder has been in use India since the 7th century or probably even in ancient times too. Gunpowder, fireworks, crackers, rockets, etc. have been in use in India since 7th-13th century period. India probably got war rockets from China via Mongol channels as per some historians.

Mughal armies, Marathas, etc. were also using war rockets. Tipu neither innovated(nor improved) nor was the first one to use war rockets. Just recently, a known one of mine, wrote a research paper on Maratha war rockets. Marathas have been using war rockets from at least 16th & 17th centuries but could be earlier than this too. Marathas used war rockets in their wars with against French, Brits, others like Tipu, etc. in 18th century.

The Maratha rockets, just like those of Tipu, were also iron cased rockets. Like the Mysore rockets the rockets the Marathas used would have different ranges depending on the weight of charge the casing contained.

So this is a baseless myth, misinformation and propaganda to exaggerate Tipu's stature and to over-hype him. Both by Brits and by Indians(including those who have their own vested interests in Indian socio-politics). As the history and history-teaching, are very politicised in India + to whitewash Tipu's image. As he is controversial figure.

  5. Rockets had another advantage over artillery, which was that they could carry a much higher proportion of their weight as explosives. A shell fired by a gun has to be able to resist the stress of being fired from a gun, so it has thick walls and much of the shell is not made up of explosives. A rocket doesn't have to resist such punishment, so it can have thin walls and a lot more explosives. That's why the nebelwerfer was so feared by allied troops – more bang for your buck. The Germans developed artillery rockets before World War 2 as their use of normal artillery was restricted by the Versailles treaty.

  7. Tipu Sultan , the dalavoy general of of the royal kingdom of Mysore, South India, used rockets against the British in the third Anglo Mysore war of 1799…he used two types, one had a sword mounted on it, for impaling and the second one had cast iron pellets , which would scatter upon detonation , anti personnel use
