THE COMING TRIBULATION DISPLAYS–THE PERFECT WRATH OF JESUS

This evening we are faced with the very intriguing possibility that the comfort and conveniences of our civilization may become briefly impaired in the not-too-distant future.

Think back to 90 short years ago. Most people had no electricity, saw no television, heard very little radio, didn’t use banks very much, worked all day, and prepared or even raised their own food. These same people lived in small houses, heated the houses by fire, carried much of their water from a well to use in their homes, stayed very close to home because travel was difficult, and so on.

Then came the explosion of technology which gave greater comforts but charged higher and higher fees for maintenance. The electricity that feeds technology became vital. The speed of technology became critical and so on. What has happened to us is we are technologically dependent! Think of what many of us have lived through.

The pace of change has been astounding. We now travel at the speed of sound, we communicate at the speed of light and we clothe ourselves and live with materials made at the molecular level. Western society has grown into an inescapable interdependence with machines which can be greatly disrupted by any non-linearities.

  1. Revelation chapter 6 is not leading up to the tribulation. It is leading up to the wrath of God. Revelation 6:12-13 describes the phenomena of the 6th seal which were foretold in Matthew 24:29 would manifest immediately after the tribulation. At this time, the world will see Christ approaching to gather the saints and to unleash his wrath. His arrival will be at the 7th trumpet of the subsequent 7th seal, at which moment his wrath will be discharged upon those remaining on the earth, beginning in Revelatoon 16:1.

The necessity of conflating the distinct phenomena of tribulation and wrath, for the Dispensationalist, is based on the need to cite "We are not appointed to wrath" as a supposed scriptural proof of a pre-tribulation rapture where none otherwise exists.

  2. I love your teachings. Have you ever considered that “tribulation” is persecution and man made problems, while The Wrath of God, is God sent, supernaturally sent? Two different things. We are destined to tribulations but not God’s wrath?

  3. Greetings, the wrath and tribulation were specific to the first century. We can't insert ourselves into the scriptures and pretend they were written to us today and are applicable to todays' events. That would be called a fictional story. What did John tell the Pharisees? Matt 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Why would John tell them to run away? Because Jerusalem and all of Israel was about to be leveled to the ground. Read Revelation and Jocephus, fulfilled 66 – 70 A.D.

What did Christ say? Luke 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. "These days" were 2,000 years ago. Read Luke chapter 21 and every time it says "you", "ye", "your", "them", define this person(s). This person(s) was standing or sitting in front of Christ. This was his audience. Everything Christ said applied to them.

1 Thess 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thess 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, When and to whom was this letter written? Written circa 52 A.D. to a church located in Thessalonica. This letter was not written to you. Anyone who reads this scripture(s) and applies it to themself today, simply needs to go back to middle school. Kids in middle school can read the very first verse: Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians. Now they can tell you who wrote the letter and who the letter was mailed to, simple. Next, they can go to google and determine an estimated written date, definitely mid first century CE. What is the theme of this letter? What does Paul say 6 times in 5 chapters? He tells these church members that Christ is coming, the revelation; / ch 1:10, 2:19,3:13,4:15-16,5:23. Thus, this wrath, applied to the first century.

Here is the second letter: 2 Thess 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians. What does Paul say about "tribulation"? So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

They are being persecuted and are in tribulation. The apostles were all murdered less John. Rome was burned in 64 A.D. and the Christians were blamed. So, now you have the Romans hating the Christians along with the apostate Jewish priesthood hunting them down. Paul told them Christ was coming and their enemies would be recompensed for their actions. This happened, temple destroyed, no more old covenant, the last day, the resurrection/revelation of Jesus Christ. this message is sent in love, your friend
