  1. I am pretty sure that Candy wanted to mention rat scat re: raisins,. Jeepers, Candy. Raisins are really lovely and do NOT deserve this kind of disrespect. "really slimy noises". is not an attractive description! I really think it might be much better with a whooping of maple syrup. Add half in at the time of cooking and the rest at the end.

  2. Kandye was an adorable guest and I hope you have her again! I don't like raisins either they remind me of weird bugs . I admit they taste just fine but I am with her on the texture thing. why not just cut up some grapes?!!

  3. The English, for the most part, no longer boil their Christmas puddings like this. Most modern, commercially made puddings come in a microwave proof plastic bowl so you can reheat them in the microwave. They can be reheated in a pot of boiling water but still in the plastic container. Or if you are like me you have an aluminum, sealable pudding basin that you put your pudding in and boil. The closest you will get to this is a rice pudding, cooked in the oven like you do when making a oven baked risotto, but with cream, raisins, nutmeg and sugar. Now I live in New Zealand but we still do alot of English dishes. Oh and there is such a thing as chocolate rice pudding. OH yeah you really need to cook that in a pot two to three times the size to allow a good amount of water to cook in.

  4. Yes! I am getting ready to open a gf restaurant in my small town. Love it! You two are a riot! How fun. Y'all made my evening. I'm usually a silent watcher, but I am laughing way to hard. I'm seriously snorting! πŸ˜…πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ‘πŸ‡πŸšπŸ§ˆ sugar!

  5. Yum! That does look delicious! I was thinking that if you added some orange peel to it with the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Then make an orange syrup to pour over the top. Or throw some cut up oranges into the water when it's boiling to incorporate the flavor.
You ladies were great! Thanks for another fun video!

  6. We have a recipe in Puerto Rico of "Sweet Rice" and its cooked slowly on stove top and you put the rice with racings, sugar, coconut milk, pich of salt. Everything together and the texture is loose and soft and yummy. This dish reminded me of that "Arroz con Dulce"
