  1. I like the game. Esspecially Grendel. Hes my favorite so far.

In all honesty though I do enjoy how simple the game is to get into but is also complex enough where skill does matter. The game so far feels very balanced other than a few outliers. The game has similar mechanics from other card games so transferring is very easy to do, and you do have access to very strong cards very early into the game so you dont need to spend any money for a viable deck. I recommend you atleast try the game as its quite a blast.

  2. I see I have been heavily featured here XD. Its a great game, I spent the last couple years helping test it, and I was #1 on the ladder in its first drafts tournaments, and in the original game, so sorry you kind of got thrown into the deep end against me, it was fun playing and hanging out though. Jonveiv is a little wacky, everyone gets access to her real quick, and she is pretty unique in her late game effect, most of the time she is a pretty balanced defensive card, but Witch Doctor is extra nasty with her.

This game kind of strikes a balance between duelyst, faeria, and hearthstone, with more of a focus on careful positioning and strategy than the former titles, but still having (much to my frustration at times XD) some wacky cards, reach, and RNG to keep things interesting. It is easier to learn than the others, while having just as much if not more depth. Its earlier versions in alpha were extremely tactical, but it was to hard on new players, so it was reborn in this happy meidum state that you are seeing now that has something to appeal to most people. It is a massive improvement to the first game, that does away with many of the old games problems and more RNG heavy stuff.

(I have played all of these titles extensively so I do feel qualified to comment on them. I won many tournaments and held the #1 spot in duelyst more than once, was briefly in the top 10 on the Faeria Ladder, and naturally am pretty well known in the CnC crowd both this one and its original game)

I really enjoyed Faeria back in the day. The build the board as you go style was an interesting spin, and the banked mana was neat, but both felt like they really made the game lean away from tactical positioning since there is often so little board to work with, and rather than focusing on the turn to turn and needing a carefully built deck curve, saving up for explosive turns was a bit to common. Very fun and exciting, but just not quite my jam. The amount of Rng between Faeria and CNC is somewhat similar, CNC has more consistent matches over all and the wacky RNG is not to common, but some of the cards that do feature it are a little extra wild at times, where as Faeria keeps a better limit on some of the individual cards.
Between not quite jiving with the games core systems, some disagreeable patch notes, and slow content I got burned out on it much quicker than I usually do this type of game.
Not trying to disparage Faeria in anyway though, its an amazing game that has stood the test of time. It has many similarities, but some very key differences, that are mostly subjective in quality.
    (Also square grid for life!)

And yea, Duelyst 2 is a disaster. There are some amazing points in the games history, but it is also rife with controversy, and the current dev team directly went against everything the community, and the original project I helped put together, wanted. In its current state it just kind of a messy, unbalanced, super swingy, out of hand combo oriented game, that barely uses the board that should be its main feature.
