Sweetwater’s video team began to transition to the Blackmagic Design ecosystem in 2022, and to say that it has revolutionized the way we shoot would only scratch the surface. Not only has it elevated our content and streamlined the shooting and editing processes, but Blackmagic cameras have also allowed us to greatly expand our creative opportunities, from product demos and rig tours to interviews, live and studio performances, and full-blown documentaries. Blackmagic’s Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, for example, lets us use just one camera to reliably capture crystalline footage that can be reframed for countless formats, and DaVinci Resolve masterfully streamlines a slew of editing, artistic, and post-production process into an all-in-one suite of full-spectrum video work. With such a game-changing impact, we decided we had to talk about it. So, let our team of videographers, editors, and more tell you just how much Blackmagic means to bringing their artistic visions to life!

Yes! I'm a BMPCC shooter, I have the 6k G2, the 4k and the OG (if you don't have the OG, find one, you will NOT regret it, the sensor on that is ridiculous).
I have the Pocket 6K and love it! As well as extensive use with the Ursa Broadcast G2. Resolve is the best!
What a waste of money and resources! YouTubers create similar looking/ sounding videos with 500$ cameras like Canon M50!
💰
and how many hard drives do you go through while editing & archiving RAW files?
Not Sweetwater out here makin music videos! I’m next!! Lol
I'd love for you guys to pick up the Sony line too!
Yo quiero!
I really appreciate this behind the scenes interview of @Sweetwater post production!! Very useful content!!! Their is so much gear and software it's mind-boggling!!! I've done a lot of research out there and this was very helpful!!! If you can, please do a more in-depth video of the planning, techniques, and post production stages!!! That would be awesome!!! Thanks @Sweetwater sound!!!!
And Resolve is FREEEEEE!!!
loved this, a little different than the usual product review, but I would honestly do a whole hour of it, this was great
The image quality coming through Sweetwater speaks for itself, superb from my window.
As an AV manager for a small advertising/marketing agency, we love using our Black Magic cams for all of our content too! Nice video
I have 18 studio, and want to get an Ursa used, no way that is happening new. Or a pocket pro 6K. Right now I shoot with a Canon C100 Cine camcorder and Panasonic AG-UX90 4K UHD camera, I have some Sony mirrorless cameras too. So it is a work in progress to create. DR has a steep learning curve, but I like that commit to paying just once, and not a subscription model. DR is just amazing.
The video team at Sweetwater is a key driver of the quality of the company’s brand, keeping the bar high and continuing to raise it. Well done!
The only thing that would make them a whole lot better is a full flip-out screen on all of their cameras.
