  1. I was so excited to hear that they wanted to make this like dead space.

And then I heard about how melee dependent the combat was. When people who made dead space tell me a game is inspired by dead space, I just assume they were talking about visuals AND gameplay. Because man, I wanted a horror action shooter. Not this.

  2. This is not the experience I had of the game. I could skip the death animations, the dodging was easy and well explained, and even with the baton holstered you can insta-swing when needed. The other points are all valid, but it really wasn’t bad. I gave it 7/10. It wasn’t anything new, but it wasn’t bad.

  3. At this point, if a game developer claims they are the maker of so and so, then I am going to assume it's poop until proven otherwise. Because it's safer than assuming it'll be half decent or better.

  4. I don't know if it's been fixed, but I played the game shortly after it launched and the game would be 60fps (for the most part), except for the first effects which seemed to be around (maybe even below) 30fps. I jumped on forums to make sure I was going crazy and saw other people mentioning it, truly bizarre that they let something that glaring make it past release.

  5. It's frustrating because these are mistakes that you would expect the former developers of Dead Space to know to avoid.

I assume the cliffhanger is because they want to make a sequel, but you don't always have to resort to a cliffhanger to do that.
