John wasn't really in control of With the Beatles, A Hard Day's night, Beatles for Sale, Help, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper; Magical Mystery tour , The White album, Abbey Road, except for increased control of his OWN songs, and learning techniques like ADT, but George Martin, Geoff Emerick, Ken Scott, and others were more in control of Beatles albums, along with McCartney. He took control of Let it be by giving it to Spector to produce. Not until Plastic Ono Band, 1970, did he really start Co producing his own albums.
I don't know why they have the tag Double Fantasy. What John's talking about is way before that when he worked with Phil Spector and had the big blow up.. the "Lost weekend era
