  1. I wonder if the Marathi Kain thing is a reference to Ares being a spin off of Aphrodite's war goddess elements, like they reversed it by having the Ares expy become a goddess of war beauty and sex,

  2. Imo eldar gods are just hella powerful eldar that the rest of the eldar race whorshiped as great heroes at 1st, and as divine beings later on. The same way the emperor might have not been a god in 30k but he definitely is now with all the belief he is inspiring.

  3. In the short story ‘Valedor’ by Guy Haley, the Avatar of Khaine of craftworld Biel-Tan is thought to be lost but later shows up in a pile of Tyranids that is the size of a mountain with him in the center of it.

  4. I’ve recently been going down a 40K YouTube rabbit hole after being out of the loop a long time, and I was pleasantly surprised they’ve beefed up the Necron lore. Now I’m depressed that Eldar still are just big jobbers, which is lame because I feel like 8 foot tall super humans beating up on squishy elves isn’t great storytelling. Maybe if they did a better job of conveying that the Eldar are cunning, elite troops with impressive gear and psychic powers it would work better.

  5. To be fair i think the greatest missed opportunity for khaine in 40k atleast is that his "shards" can't be molded together like the c'tan (might draw some interesting parallels that even some eldar question)…it would definitely give him and his followers some weight and meaning in the 40k setting…

    Like hear me out…

Imagine some autarch or drukari lord that is REALLY into khaine discovers one of his swords…said sword allows him to merge avatars of khaine slowly to reform him…while many fragments have been destroyed, each fragment of khaine brought back together brings the god closer and closer to the power he had in the old days…hell imagine you get a cult of khanites that start traveling from craftworld to craftworld seeking to take their shards of khaine for themselves…something that obviously would leave the eldar whom need the shards to protect themselves at a disadvantage leading to conflict.

You could even create new and cool models…like imagine levels of avatars of khaine, with more collected shards resulting in a more devestating almost apocolyptic force…even more than the old ones of old.

To be fair this is also a excuse for more aspect warrior and eldar refresh…but they still need it.

  6. My deepest of disrespect for successfully fooling me into an ad spot. I should have saw it coming but I didn't, and for that the most premium page on the book of grudges for you.
