  1. Thanks y'all & all new subscribers who found us today for tuning in. We had likely the best coverage I've ever been a part of in every branch—radar analysis and near-term forecasting of tornado formation, storm chaser footage and ground verification, and the Y'all Squad 501(c)(3) raising six figures of relief funds. Document this stream and its impact for future scientific efforts and historical reviews.

  2. My moms sister lives in Elkhorn NE and I am glad they are okay. Her kids had to stay in school for shelter. But yeah I hope everyone else that were in this situation are alright and safe.

  3. This weekend outbreak has already taken 4th place for most tornadoes spawned in an outbreak this decade, only behind 2021’s December Derecho, 2020 Easter Outbreak, and March 31, 2023 outbreak. This is devastating

  4. I am so impressed by this stream. A few years ago, we had some nasty weather in MN and I'd have given anything to have had access to a stream like this back then! Truly incredible how you've coordinated so many moving parts (no pun, promise) into one coherently delivered stream of coverage. Ive subbed and turned all notifications on, because I'll never again get my weather coverage without checking here first

  5. I live in SW Omaha just 5 miles south of Elkhorn. I'm only now looking at this livestream and what's crazy is that one of the storm chasers literally drives right by my neighborhood. I was unable to get a clear view of the tornado when it happened, and so now seeing that footage of the tornado as he's driving by my neighborhood really puts everything into perspective. It's so crazy to me that that huge tornado was so close to not only my neighborhood but to so many of the people that I know in that area. I know people that lost their homes and I'm so heartbroken for them. It's a miracle that nobody died from that.

  6. @Ryan Hall y'all. I know y'all need a break but there's been 3 or more tornadoes and large hail in Central KS tonight. Just wondered why neither you or Andy live?

  7. I chased this event, I saw 6 tornadoes during this outbreak and unfortunately witnessed the town of Minden get impacted at a distance. Even now I’m still processing what occurred that day.

  8. Because of the stream, I started preparing my cat well in advance of the tornado warning, even though I never got the watch before it was announced. I live in Des Moines, so I wasn't prepared for tornadoes.

  9. I live in Omaha, just a few miles from where the tornado hit. I am so very lucky to have lived. However, so many of my friends and family have been deeply affected by this monster storm. Lost homes, pets, and just absolutely everything. They have to start at square one. I cannot imagine how empty and distraught they must feel. Thank you Ryan for the lives you saved that day, if not for you I’m sure the devastation of this storm would be much greater.
