  2. I have no idea why you went into this BL. But this is highly complex for a beginner.

    Things will only make sense at the end. The first season barely touched the surface of the novel, & there's a lot of foreshadowing that will happen so watch out.

  9. (No spoilers). I guess someone should explain the heavenly system of xianxia😂 hope this helps a little, it can be a bit much to jump into tbh😂

    Firstly, its not gods like how we you would typically understand them. Its more like people who have done enough deeds which are either military style achievement or public service (that's why you have two kinds of gods- martial and literary). Xie lian, the MC is a martial god.

    The credits system and the heavenly economy is basically how much each god is respected, and known and worshipped in the mortal realm. So the more popular you are down there, the richer and more powerful you are in heaven.

    As for why he's called crown prince. Hes not the son of the emperor, its based on how he was when he was alive as a human. So he ascended to heaven when he was a crown prince in the mortal realm.

    Edit: ALSO the names in here, which will get pretty confusing maybe (or maybe not cuz you're superhuman who knows). So it's common for people to be known by a couple of different names based on how close the speaker is to the person. So a name for intimate and family people, then for general masses, then you might be known as a title of sorts (in this case, your highness or crown prince)

This is my first time watching one of your videos and I was so happy to hear your comments, I was surprised how insightful they were and how much you really hit the nail on the head despite not knowing much about the show! Unfortunately it is based on a Long book series, so if you want the answers to sone of these questions you're gonna be sticking around for a bit longer than just 12 episodes haha

  18. Not a spoiler just kinda explaining the genre if it's helpful:
    Not everything is explained bc it follows a xianxia genre/setting which is very common in chinese media. Its high fantasy based on chinese mythology and martial arts. Exceptional humans can cultivate their spirit to try achieve immortality/godhood. There is usually a human realm, ghost/demon realm, and god's/heavenly realm.
    I love this book so I hope you enjoy!!

  20. a little tidbit of (non-spoiler) information that i think u’d enjoy: xie lian’s inner dialogue is lowkey sassy, don’t let the man’s calm demeanor fool u bc he is hilarious
    and also, THANK YOU for noticing detail myyyy goodness 😭😭 now you can look forward to certain reveals ehhe
    and yessss!!! the quality of animation is actually so beautiful ,,, i’d love to see u read the official manhwa (comic) bc the art is INSANE
