The A – Z of Amiga Hidden Gems – Letter F

Hey whatsup guys OSG here with another Amiga Hidden gems video and today it’s the letter F. First of all I will say that this one was very difficult hence the time between gems videos and in the end I have had to compromise on some of the gems criteria but in the end I have sorted 10 games that are either hidden or overlooked gems that really deserve some playtime.
As usual I’ve ordered them in order of greatness and I’m sure that everyone will find at least 1 or 2 games that they like from this selection
Ok enough waffling lets take a look at 10 amiga hidden gems beginning with F in order of greatness

  1. Fantastic voyage I remember, loved the movie as a kid, great film not so much the game though sadly. That F1 game looks good, never seen that one, love the speed! Future Basketball looks interesting, nice looking SB2 clone. Other standouts for me from F are Final Coutdown, Footmon (not a patch on Edgar Vigdal's Deluxe Pacmon btw, you ever cover that one?) and Top one looks great, I've seen it but not played it, it's just called Maya in my collection. Speaking of which, I checked if I had these games and I have em all but never played any of em apart from the two I mentioned so nice one finding em! Looking forward to G

  2. As a long-time fan of the classic film and Isaac Asimov's novelisation, I have to say that this version of Fantastic Voyage looks AWESOME!!! It beats the pants off of the Atari 2600 game, I'll have to load it up on my Amiga Mini or hacked Evercade soon!

  3. Another great list, one thing looking at all those games is, even if someone didnt say anything you would know they are Amiga games, just the graphics and sound. Cracking list, I know it is too main stream but F for me I would say people to checkout Fury of the Furries if they have not seen it, I loved that game.

  4. The computer sounds on Final Countdown nicked from Alien. Fantastic. I never played the World Championship version of F1, but the original was fantastic [both got Mega Drive ports].

  5. For G, I think Gravity Wars is not so well known. It was a Hires Interlaced public domain game in the basic style of artillery duel, but in space with randomly place planets.
