Talking about states, Texas has seen a huge influx of people moving here from all over the nation. It’s crazy and actually sad to see because I spoke to an individual who moved from another state that didn’t want to, but because of what their state government has imposed on them they no longer felt safe and worried that if their viewpoints didn’t align with that particular state they would be forced to support what that state’s government is doing is GRAND. Tears fell from their face and summed it up by saying “I no longer felt our family could live freely there, so we moved here.” I told that person welcome to Texas and I hope no matter where you go in this state our hospitality is given by other Texans. On the inside I was enraged by what I just heard, so yes stand up and fight not only for 2A rights but for all of your American rights. I wanted to share that story cause I’m sure there are many more like it. Thank you 2A Edu for all you do to keep us informed and educated.

@2aEdu – We all have to be more cautious with our words…and I know that this was most likely just a slip-up. The 2nd Amendment does NOT "grant" us the right to keep and bear arms; but, rather, "guarantees" it; and was meant to protect it from government infringement!
Everytime we mistakenly say, "grants our right", we give away a little piece of our liberty. It's exactly what the anti-gun have done over history (and want to continue)by chipping away at it a little bit at a time.

We need republican deligets in every country in our state. So contact your county clerk's and get on the ballot to be elected to your prescient or find a deligets meeting and get elevated. I think this is the best way to make a difference.

I called but she doesn’t care about what I have to say. I hope we sue them for unconstitutional Red Flag 🚩 laws. And I want to see what they have in it. I am still going to move. But just want to see what Whitmer does.
I will write to my State Representatives, call them, etc but you can forget about me showing up for any protests. We seen what happened to all those people who showed up for the COVID protests. Some of them were criminally charged. A lot of them lost their jobs when they were seen on social media. We see what happened with the FEDnappiing case out here in Jackson. A drunk violent FBI agent that beat his wife and had a grudge against Trump supporters and posted regularly on his social media accounts about how much he hated them. Yet none of that was allowed to be used as evidence in their defense at the trial to show potential biases on his part.
If they want to go this route and pass a so-called assault weapons ban in Michigan, me and my wife will move. Me and my wife lived in the Metro Detroit area all of our lives. We bought a house and moved to Jackson last year because Metro Detroit, like anywhere liberals get a majority control, the cost of living becomes unaffordable and Jackson is one of the few areas in this state, aside from extremely rural, that still has affordable housing. This is actually our first house but we will walk the f*** away from it if they pass these laws.
You’re in the brownstown area. Ohio is only about 30 minutes south. For us here in Jackson, Indiana and Ohio are also only about 30 minutes south and we wouldn’t have to quit our jobs either. Both of those states, an assault weapons ban would never pass. If a person was really concerned about it, there’s Texas and Florida. There’s also about 40 other states where these laws have ZERO chances of ever passing.
In terms of gun control at the federal level, nothing will ever pass again in Congress because of the nasty partisan politics. Even when Democrats do get a majority control, they still can’t get the laws passed because of the filibuster rule and even if they did, you can be sure that the second the GOP retook Congress, they would just overturn whatever the Democrats passed earlier. This is why we are now seeing the political weaponization of the ATF and FBI. The only way Liberal Presidents can ban guns is by forcing the ATF and FBI to pass rules and go after law abiding gun owners. So it’s time for conservative states to refuse to cooperate with the FBI and ATF on these matters just like Liberal states are refusing to cooperate with ICE on immigration issues.
Vote with your feet and move if they want to do this. People don’t have to turn to violence and you can vote with your feet and punish them financially. I’m not staying. I was born in Michigan and have lived here my entire life. I'm gone. There will be no registration. There will be no mandatory turn in. None of that nonsense because I simply won’t be here and my tax revenue will be leaving with me and these morons in Lansing can figure out how to address the revenue shortfall to fund their liberal northern oasis because I won’t be the only one leaving. I can assure you. But you like me, also know that even if they have evidence that this is why people are leaving, they'll never discuss it in the media or academia. It'll just be a mystery or like California and New York, they'll claim it's multiple reasons no one really has control over. Not Liberal Policies. So moving is going to do nothing other than ensure you're rights are protected because the people that need to know about the reasons, won't. Treat them like an abusive alcoholic parent and just wash your hands of them and move on because they will forever live in denial that they're in the wrong.
Just like California, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and now Illinois. Anywhere they pass these laws, there is a mass emigration of people. Because the gun bans will just be the tip of the iceberg as they say. Because just like California, New York and now Illinois, they will also pass no bail, no bond laws. Illinois SAFE style bills in which murderers, cop killers and rapists are immediately released after being arrested (if even arrested at all) and they’re going to take the guns away from everyone. Yeah, I’m not staying for that. It’s sad to have to say but just write the state off as a loss and another state to avoid if you are a Republican.
