Thanksgiving travel: Here are the busiest days for travel by road and plane



Today marks the start of the busy Thanksgiving travel season. Airlines, as well as travelers, are bracing for what’s expected to be one of the busiest Thanksgivings in the past two decades.

AAA predicts nearly 55 million people will leave home this holiday with most driving to their destination.

So when is the busiest time to travel? By air, it’s Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. By road, it’s 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
