Tesla Cybertruck DRAG RACE

Mat has returned to the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin Texas, and he’s got his hands on the all-new Cybertruck! So of course, you know what that means… It’s drag race time!

Naturally, there was only one competitor that we had to compare this all-electric pick-up to – the Hummer EV! The question is, which will come out on top?

Well, let’s check out the stats. Starting with the Cybertruck, it rolls up equipped with three electric motors, and they combine to produce 845hp and 930Nm of torque. The starting price of the dual-motor edition is around $49,000, but for this tri-motor Cyberbeast edition, it’ll cost you around $96,000! In terms of weight, the Cybertruck tips the scales at just over 3 tonnes.

Think that’s heavy? Well, that’s nothing compared to the Hummer, which comes in at 4,110kg!! Just like the Tesla, the Hummer is equipped with three motors, but it’s also up on power, producing 1,014hp and 1,485Nm! The price is also slightly higher than the Cybertruck, coming in at around £109,000.

So how will this one play out? Will the extra tonne of weight prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

  2. why is it concerning, it is exactly the reason why it won the brake test, because it’s three times heavier besides the fact that the cyber truck is wearing all terrain. stop playing it stupid MKBHD. by the way looking at them both now, the cyber truck is absolutely beautiful compared to that piece of shit “bummer”.

  3. I will NOT buy a used Cybertruck for the next 5 years because every owner would have drag-raced it and abused it to the max – it will not last you long before the motors fail or the warranty gets voided. same as the other ones.

  4. Making a tesla go fast is as simple as it is on an RC car. They are essentially the same thing. In ludicrous mode it just send a massive amount of power to the motors all at once. Same thing i do with my traxxas rustler I strap two 9000mah lipo batteries in it with a Y connector now it can go over 100mph and launches like a rocket.

  5. When new vehicles and products arrive on the market, a large majority of the population wait to see the lifespan longevity and maintenance of the product It will be interesting to see how the new UK law on EU battery replacement for consumers starting 2027 all consumers must be able to manually replace any batteries in consumer products. How will this play out in EV boardrooms?
