Terracotta Warriors, the Movie

Based on the concert band composition, TERRACOTTA WARRIORS, by Scott Watson (Alfred Publications, Grade 2)…

In 210 BC, thousands of life sized terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Chi Huang, the first emperor of China, were buried with the emperor. Emperor Qin tasked imperial sculptors to create the statues to be installed in his burial mausoleum to protect him in the afterlife. Qin’s “Terracotta Army” numbered approximately 8,000 generals, soldiers, horses, and chariots. But what would it look and sound like if, centuries later, these stoic statues came to life and march out of their graves!

TERRACOTTA WARRIORS, the MOVIE is available for use IN CONCERT by school/community bands performing Terracotta Warriors (Grade 2, Alfred). The FREE, high def, “in concert” version of the video, includes a “visual count off” cue that allows you to start your ensemble in sync with the film.
