  1. That Last fight was Bad ass. It was Clear that NONE of these Asshole Fought Fairly! That they only Won with sheer luck and being Heavily Equipped.

While Tekkaden Won Through Sheer Force of Will, Strength and Determination! Something that Gjallarhorn use to Represent until they became old Aging and Morally Disgusting.

Better to Die With the Old Guard, representing the Virtues of Warriors than to Die as a Longtime Member representing Morally Corrupt Ideals.

  2. I took me years to remember why I was conflicted with this gundam series and then I rewatched it
I was conflicted because they killed off the main character and then left his love interest with a baby that now have no memories of his father because he was never there

  4. What the writer and director knew how to do with this story is to take the basis of all the Gundam (mechas and contempt for war) and tell it on a more human level, from the perspective of the authentic child soldier, who knows no other family than his comrades and who only knows how to express himself with the banging of metal. Really, none of the protagonists could have any other purpose, as they make it clear to us from the first chapter, but the way they told us to get to that last battle is simply magnificent.

  5. IBO may have been the first true Anime I watched fully, I was bummed when barbi died when I watched the show, but I love that it happened, the show was ruthless in showing how fragile Tekkaden was, a relatively small group of kids and adults with some junk. Barbatos should never have gotten as far as it did, on paper. The metric fuck tonne of determination as well as mental and physical strength by each and every member of Tekkaden was what held it up and scared Gjallahorn shitless. They threw everything they had at Tekkaden and they still only fell on Gjallahorns lap. Gjallahorn thought they could keep em on a chain but that chain was made out of nothing but brittle, empty delusions.
The only thing that saved them is cowardly weapons they funded from the bodies of the innocent, and mindlessly throwing their soldiers into the mix at an attempt to slow them down, Barbatos + Mika really was a demon that would not take death for an answer.

Inevitably that would wear Tekkaden down to the literal bone, and even then they got up and didn't complain, to busy tearing shit up.

It's so bitter sweet, I love IBO, one of those things where when I get to hyped about it, it gets my heart and head going funny, and the music feels so familiar.
I can't begin to fathom what the war between these goliaths must have been like.

  6. Barbatos was a true Daemon, without the orbit this army would be squashed in 5 min or less . I still do not accept their deaths untill today. The Gundams could be destroyed but not the life of these two freak warriors. Now that is a way to go to HELL!

  7. I wonder why Bandai still hasn't made Master Grade kits of Lupus and Lupus Rex? The perfectly good frame from the MG Season 1 Barbatos has been just sitting there for a few years waiting for the Season 2 armor and weapons to be slapped onto it.

  8. Okay so basically, this is a guesstimate at best here. This heavily relies on the Graze aka the victim having a sensor radius of ~3200 meters. Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, while *heavily* damaged, went from maximum sensor radius at 1:16 in the video, to right in front of the Graze at 1:17 in the video. It moved approximately 3200 meters in a single fucking second. In the video it shows that the radar of the Graze couldn’t keep up with it. He moved 11,520 kilometers an hour, minimum Mach 9-10. It can estimated Gundam BLR was at under half performance here since it was not only rotting away for hundreds of year but also extremely damaged.

  9. Love this scene. Gusion pulling the spike out is just chilling. Rex putting in work despite being on death's door is probably my favorite moment in the franchise. My guy was about to clock out but he made sure others were off the clock with him.

  10. I think to my that Julietta is not satisfied with her "win" over Mika, he was literally on deaths door and fell unconscious. She tried so hard to become strong enough to beat him but he was so far overpowered that it took war crimes to take him out

  11. a classy add on could be that gusion goes "berserker" with red eyes when undestand that was Iok Kujan in front of him. I know that the scene is to see "what pitfull dead got him", but the real deald was a full outburst from gusion, a suddend "cut" with scissor, and then a warrior dead
