Just finished the Airfix 35scale t34….. happy enough how it turned out, but the instructions left me scratching my head at times
Nice tools, but it's how you use them
Built a takom ww1 tank, yip, the plastic is hard & sharp, but it turned out ok
After all, good job Peter
You build up to your builds!
The trouble with some of the manufacturers is that they assume everyone is an accomplished modeller so the instructions almost become an afterthought for them. It's a shame because it then obviously puts people off any of the other kits that they produce. I am not a bad modeller but I don't want to have a kit that you just make a lot of mistakes on.
Surprised had a problem with the LP2
Think I kind of get what you mean with that Tiger I seeing the M103 in 1/35 from Takom I've got. Looks like the result will be really nice but getting there… wow.
Nice, a very good finish, just right on SD mount. We learnt not to paint over securing bolts on electric panel so we could strip panel covers off quick.
Any Sea cat kits out there?
Legend has it that the more Chardonnays that you drink, the better the Italeri kits look.
Nice job Peter
My only complaint is,🤔🤔🤔WHITE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AGAINST A WHITE BACKGROUND 🤬🤬 🤣🤣🤣
Didn’t see you at Telford this time Peter
I wanted to try these out as a Falklands/Malvinas conflict enthusiast. I’ve done a few Takom armour kits and I can assure you Peter they all have this harder plastic and vague instructions, not to mention odd sprue gate locations. These look fantastic and I think you’ve made great representations of Royal Navy air defence systems for fighting off those cheeky Argentine planes flying amongst the fleet in landing.
Wonder if they will bring out a Sea Slug kit.. now that looks a really cool missile .. quite an odd looker
Takom based these kits off examples located outside the Explosion museum in Gosport. They also included the “Launcher is Empty” placard on the sides that indicate there are no missiles loaded, these wouldn’t be there on a loaded, let alone firing, example. On weathering photos of the Seadart launchers Type 42 destroyers returning from the Falklands show them very dirty, Seawolf launchers were kept clean. I also hate to point out that drill rounds are totally inert, used to practice the manual loading of the mount without any danger of anything going boom, so showing one being fired isn’t accurate.
My main gripe with this kit is the lack of decals for the Seadart missiles and that the base for the Seawolf launcher is the museum pedestal not a representation of the ships deck as shown on the boxart.

This makes me feel like building the Airfix Bloodhound missile system, Peter.😊
Best white I have found for a glossy finish with great coverage is gunze GX1 coole white. It's my go to for anything white.
Another interesting video. Plenty of build channels out there. Its good seeing the end results and hearing of the builders thoughts of the build walts and all.
Lovely work Peter. Nice review.
Another great vid Pete, keep up the great work, and a big thank you for your contribution to this hobby, it's much appreciated.
I've enjoyed this video a lot, I like your style of sharing the ups and downs of the kit rather than a full build video as there's plenty of those about 👍 Chris
Have you got an email address to reach you on Peter? Have a kit you might be interested in reviewing.
you have great weather for a good Scotch Whisky.😁
……классные модели!…дааааа takom делает отличные модели(((…особенно последние их разработки))))……
…….моделирование затягивает и оооооочень серьезно…….
