Don't forget to exchange your American dollar for the Alaskan Dinero, you can probably find a sketchy guy in an alleyway somewhere to make a proper exchange
I'm watching this as someone from Europe and I knew that train travel wasn't really efficient in the US but 27 hours for 600$ left me speechlessπ³ that is so long, and above all, so expensive! No wonder the train is nearly empty
Good video. The only mistake you made is saying that Virginia was your fourth state while commuting on that train from Miami to Washington DC. There's a little strip of the Georgian coast that you've forgot.. So, Virginia was your fifth state not fourth.
Having a very meta experience. Watching @DownieLive on a viewliner FROM a viewliner (Lakeshore Limited) as we couple to the Boston Train in Albany. You've been an inspiration for me! I'm headed from NYC to Emeryville (with a 2-week stop in Reno). Thanks for all you do!
I have been so interested in trains lately since the government was talking about the infrastructure bill and the recent IRA bill. Ohio Amtrak will most likely decide at the end of this year if they will finally connect Dayton, Cincinatti, Columbus and Clevland with Amtrak. "Ohio exploring passenger rail expansion with Amtrak" is the title of the article.
This dude is cute and I love love the content since I've been researching train adventures for me and the hubs! Lived all around the world growing up, but now that we're oldsters, we wanna see this great land! More, please!

Thank you for all your videos. We love watching your journeys. We donβt know where you are going next, but we canβt wait to see where you end up.
Lived in Bellingham for over 8 years. Been to the train station there several times. It'll be cool to see it a little in a future video.

Ragabound. It's never there.
You will be missing that ferry lol
Cool to see you stopped here in Tampa!

Hawaii is technically further south. You should take try to take a train from there π

Always interesting ideas
Did Amtrak pay for your hotel in DC?

Wouldn't you be going to bed later if you're jetlagged from going from BC to Miami?

"Pretty hot in Miami." Proceeds to show 87β°. Meanwhile I'm in Ramona, California at about 108β°
Of course, the train did formerly go to Key West, right where you were. The highway you drove on was originally built over the former rail ROW.
Time zone change from Tampa to North Carolina? Haha. And Florida to Virginia would be five states, not four.
As someone who took the north east regional line from D.C. to Boston and back idk how you did it. But I love the content!
