  1. I am a bit surprised with the naivety of the lady who is based in Taiwan. India can't just put all the eggs in one basket, today DPP wins, albeit a very slim win, we wouldn't know if the pro-china KMT would win in the next election, afterall KMT wins more seats than DPP in the parliament in this election.

That Taiwan guy seems more realistic and understands the politics of Taiwan very well. Afterall he is a Taiwanese.

Biden wouldn't want the US to get sucked into the US-China war, at all cost, because according to rand corp the US is going to lose in a war with China. 18 out 18 simulations. I am not sure how true.

  2. Why does ThePrint use the same "troublemaker" as Chinese propaganda to refer William Lai in the title but not to refer to the Chinese government? Should ThePrint the position be questioned?

  5. So we ask all nations?.please don't be silly.stupid and foolish peoples anymore?. Dont follow usa overprinted its usa dollars to so many times 500 trillions very Hugh financial debts troubles now??..
And cost to mass print each piece of usa 100dollars face value dollars is actually cost only 0.002cents a piece??….
So to print 1 trillions usa dollars 💸 actually cost only 200 million usadollars only …
So usa dare to overprinted BUT not dare to assure and guarantee its overprinted dollars trustworthy ? Like we all can very easily exchange for 1ozs of pure solid gold for how much usa dollars anymore now???..
That is why all nations ditch usa dollars??..and dont want to trade in usa dollars anymore???..and all nations will not accept usa overprinted dollars but unguarantee dollars intovall their banks anymore anymore?? …
So usa dollars will be use inside usa only???.. and no welcome by outside of usa?????.. all due to smart. Silly.stupid usa not dare to assure and guarantee its overprinted dollars trustworthy?? ..
And 5 usa banks suddenly all go bankruptcy at the same time and same day recently?? … and results into trillions of dollars of depositors money 💰 troubles and problems now??..
So we strongly believes that they are more usa banks will follows the 5 banks to go bankruptcy soon?.
So we believes that all smart rich peoples will very quickly cash out their money 💰 in usa banks??.. and switch to invest in solid pure golds or other metals??.. instead of holding unguarantee usa overprinted dollars anymore???…which cost only 0.002cents a piece to mass print each???…
So we ask usa to better work hard and convince all holders of usadollars??.. that usa really need want to be responsible not want to cheat on the overprinted usa dollar???..
Only if usa can convince all holders of usa dollars???.. or else
We strongly believes that usa will not survive till 2024…..

  6. Small advise to Snehesh Philip, please stop use absolutely, exactly or any small interruptions while the panel is presenting their views. Jothi handles such panel based conversation very well. Snehesh is good. I like all his defence news but this kind of Panel Discussion he needs to improve as a mediator.

  7. With Taiwanese voters electing Lai Ching-te as the new president, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) gets a third successive presidential term to rule the self-governed island. The DPP strongly voices Taiwan's separate identity and vows to thwart China's aim to bring the island into its own control. The party won the election defeating Taiwan's largest opposition party – The Kuomintang (KMT) and the recently founded Taiwan People's Party (TPP). The Harvard educated former physician, Premier, and present Vice- President Lai Ching-te is considered as a 'dangerous separatist' and 'troublemaker' by China for his views on Taiwan's sovereignty. However, the President-elect is confident of maintaining the status quo and "determined to safeguard Taiwan from threats and intimidation from China".

Although considered as the global semiconductor hub, only a handful of countries recognise Taiwan's independence and maintain diplomatic relations with the self-governed island. As China remains stern on reunification of Taiwan, really liked the way the idea was explained by the expert panelist through the example of stick, carrot, network and needle.

Hopefully, India will maintain a steady relation with Taiwan using technology as a bridge and expand it further in other sectors like – education, tourism, and job as well.

  8. The CCP's constant threats of forcibly reunifying Taiwan are truly absurd. Taiwan was never theirs to begin with, so how can they lose something they never had?

It's a simple fact that Japan handed Taiwan over to the KMT government, not the Chinese Communist Party. Don't they understand such basic reasoning? The CCP has never ruled Taiwan and any attempt to attack Taiwan is aggression.

The CCP's interference in Taiwan is merely an attempt to rationalize its theft of Mainland China territory. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government no longer claims mainland China as the territory of Taiwan. Taiwan has no plans to attack the CCP. The two countrie can coexist peacefully, showing mutual respect, and formalizing diplomatic relations. Isn't that a positive development? It's unreasonable to resort to military action against Taiwan.

Let's go back throug China's dynasties, territorial boundaries varied every dynasties. Does the CCP intend to trouble itself by reclaiming each of these declared independent countries one by one? During the Yuan Dynasty, with its capital in Beijing, regions like North and South Korea, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, and Siberia in Russia were within its rule. However, they are now independent countries. Xi Jinping's claim that not an inch of Chinese territory can be lost is itself a joke.

During the Yuan Dynasty, from 1231 to 1273, there were nine wars waged against Goryeo (Korea). After Kublai Khan's ascension in 1273, Yuan forces occupied Jeju Island, bringing the Goryeo-Yuan war to an end. Goryeo eventually became a vassal state of the Yuan Dynasty, under the control of the Yuan Eastern Expeditionary Province. Jeju Island was directly governed by the Yuan government for an extended period.

Korea has been considered Chinese territory since the Yuan Dynasty, which waged nine wars against Goryeo. If the CCP has truly lost Korea, why doesn't it dare to reclaim it? Is it just acknowledging its own timidity? If they are powerful, let them demonstrate it—does the CCP have the courage to confront North Korea?
