  1. The fact that the author has to completely dumb down all the characters in this show who are supposed to be competent professionals just to make Light seem like the smartest, most special boy is one of the biggest writing failures in this series. Light isnt smart. Hes lucky at best. Everyone around him always chooses the worst decisions possible.

  2. I think you misunderstood what Raye said. He said that "you wouldn't get involved in the kira case and you wouldn't do anything that would endanger your life. That's what you promised me"

  3. Wow Sarah's looking lovely here for watching Death Note!!
P.S. Comments on this one getting a bit crazy. Raise your words not your voice. Calling people names to make your point or respond to someone's comment is rather immature. Get your shizz together. Keep it kid friendly.

  4. Emmm. Light is sending those massages to L because he wants him to understand the meaning of it. Not just sending them with an information just to see can he read the code or not )))))

  5. 17:00 So you guys paused at a very important part and picking it back up, I'm not sure if you caught what Light actually did.

Raye didn't know the identities of the other agents but he DID know the name of his superior. So Light had him write his superior's name in the first block and in the death note wrote "Send an email to all your agents with the faces and identities of each agent," which is why Raye was asking "If he already had the identities, why does he need me?" Genius play.

  6. I feel like the subs made it sound way off than it should be, but what Raye basically said is that he doesn't want her to get involved in dangerous cases anymore and that THEY already planned to have kids which might help with her getting out of her habit of wanting to get involved in dangerous cases despite having quit the force already. I don't think he's dismissing her input because "I should be the only one thinking in this household, so go make some kids", but more about worrying about her getting dragged into shit he thinks will put her in jeopardy. Which unfortunately still happened because they got tangled with a mass murdering novelist, lol.

  7. 16:34 Adam, you're wrong here. They already stated that: in this fictional World, if someone write down your name on the Death Note, you're dead. There is literally NOTHING you can do to prevent this. Even Death Gods themselves can'd do anything. Even destroying the Death Note, I.E. burning it BEFORE the 40 seconds are passed, will do anything. The person whos name will be written on this Death Note… shall die. First rule.

The Death Note don't just give you casual heart attack… IT KILLS YOU. No exception.

  8. Why are so many concerned with Raye not being able to go to heaven or hell? Wasn’t it revealed later that (spoiler)

All humans will, without exception, eventually die.
After they die, the place they go is MU.

  10. this one episode already showed what a real "hero" or character that actually good and against evil, that is light father, where he is ready to put his life on the line to chase kira while light yagami is the opposite, he is evil, he only care about his life, will kill everybody and never care about get rid of evil/criminal to begin with

  11. If ya'll want to watch an actual horror anime for the spooky season, you should jump on the Uzumaki anime that's just started airing. That will REALLY give you the spooks and heeby-jeebies you were looking for when you started Death Note.

  12. Adam: "I think killing the FBI agent would be a mistake."

Sarah: "Oh yeah, he's not a bad guy. And his morality is so important."

Adam: "So important. Yeah… mhmm, that's what I meant."

  13. i mean, Raye is going to meet Naomi's parents so they can get married because they both want a family together, that's why she quit her job, i immagine it's difficult to raise kids when both parent's are FBI agents what's this? spy x family? XD, and why she's going to have kids, it's not like he's forcing her, she even smiled when he said she's gonna be busy once theu have kids

i can't be sure but when he ignored her opinion i think the show wanted to show us how the fact that he was so preoccupied with his private life, meeting the in-laws, marriage, having kids and whatnot, and scared for his fianceè that he didn't want to involve her in any way and he was unconsciously ignoring possibilities to close the case as soon as possible, which is still a stupid and irresponsible thing to do, as much as it's understandable tho, not that he thought her opinion didn't matter because her job is to make kids XD

then again i can't completely analyze a character with so few lines and screen time, i just thought it would be useless for the story to show this "wife has to shut up, stay at home and make kids" side of him, especially since his girlfriend cared so much for him that is now on a whole revenge quest

meanwhile if you interpret it like this it makes sense, it was to explain why light was able to manipulate him so easily

  14. I'm not surpised to hear from Sarah common feminist stuff. Self uncofident women are so easy to get insulted for such trifle. P.S. It's never getting old that people so naive to consider FBI agents as "innocent" people.

  15. i think it was supposed to make raye look like a dumbass when he was talking to his fiance like that tbh. i don't think it aged badly bc i think that was the purpose him being an idiot, and he was wrong so it makes his fiance look better
