Stranded on a remote island, I face the final stretch of harsh conditions with only my knife as a tool. Can a single blade provide everything I need to endure and thrive? Watch as I overcome the island’s final hurdles, proving the versatility of the GRAYMAN knife in survival situations. This is survival at its most raw and real—can I make it to the end?

  1. 1 item is artificial & absurd in REAL life. "Those who fail to plan, plan to fail" the Darwinian Filter and deservedly so.
If/when rational people with an IQ>90 go on an outing in Nature, they'd better bring a backpack with critical essentials, in case they have an accident or nasty encounter with the Wild.
Numerous channels cover such contents with 5 lb – 10 lb backpacks — totally affordable & carry-able. Those who don't do this, will get the Schadenfreude/LMFAO for entertaining us with them winning the Darwin Award (getting removed from the gene pool in an entertaining fashion). Sorry, bleeding ❤️❤️, but outside your family and some friends, the Universe does not care. Plan accordingly.

  2. Ah man, if the pine size is too small, use a bundle and drip them into your container like Hayes did with the grapevines. The same philosophy works on gravity drip. You should also check out bushcrafting a camp cup from a branch with root vines, carved out branch, and bark+mud to seal it over a fire. I'm not sure if I'd go for a knife for one tool or a hatchet. 'Always ants' yep and they make great protein sources and don't taste too bad if you fry them on a rock. Water>Fire>Shelter>Food

  3. G'day Mr.Morris. The knife looks good, it did what was expected but you need to put it through more field test in future vids. Reckon you should have cool off in the water if you're feeling hot. Also why were you making a fire if it's a hot day and you've got nothing to cook or boil.? Seem like a waste of time and energy. That water filtration system is awesome but slow. You could have cut the bottle with your New Knife in half so you will get a funnel and a water containing vessel. That way you won't get any ants or debris in your filtered water. We learned that from Dad when we were in Uluru ( Central Australia ). It's always a challenge when dealing with Mother Nature. It can be lethal if you don't persevere. Keep Fuelling the Fires.! Cheers from Australia.

  4. First bow drill fire JJ? Confused 😕 🤣🤫🤔🤔 but yeah, that difficult every time, not possible everytime! For real… alot of young comers.. trying to canterbury things… clay is brilliant, but as always.. depends.. on intent among other things.. TJ aways talks junk. Now I see how yall alike and hate each other at the same time … but independently yall struggle…and have different but similar theory/strategies… if yall were on the same team… JJ and his best friend/brother Bear.. wait..yall old enough to remember TJ and his best friend bear🐻.. truck driver from 1980s… greatest American Hero.. MyGuyver… omg.. both so different but also the same… I'm all in on ny favorite two teams joining forces for the greater good. My PATREON JUST RAN OUT. GRR.. THE BEST 2 IF WE JUST COULD GET ALONG… SOUND FAMILIAR.??

  6. You could have cut the bottle in half and inverted the top to funnel filtered water into the bottom as a catch container. Cover the open top of the funnel with your jacket to keep insects out and slow evaporation.

You reduce the amount of water you can collect, but you at least get to collect some.

  7. Great couple of vids by you and Jason. I learned a lot from what you guys did and had me run some thought experiments on how i would do it and what i would choose.
My 1st thought has always been "a knife" as it's the hardest tool to make in the wild. I might try a weekend adventure without one and see how i do (unfortunately I don't have a Daniel Defense toaster oven) 😂
Like the knife, it performed great.

  8. Just came back from a 5 days fishing trip…
cutting the bottle in half [as ppl already said] and using any fiber available [shoe laces for example] to hang the all things from a tree to avoid the ants, would be a good idea…
But starting the adventure with just one item is a failure from the start… [preparenes failure] But even then, having 5 ppl with 1 item, the first thing they'll do is form a community and share their items… that makes perfect sense!… as for the ''rules''… survival is not a game… there are no rules!… period! Using your knife to undo screws, that oven could give more things to use… the reason I'm taking survival as ''private'' business is because I'm prepared… if I wasn't then I'll co-operate with anyone available [share, trade work together…]
Btw, better watch that video Clay made [that's how I've learned it too…] that's not how he did it… he used a vine… not a stick… and it's not a thing to do when you're already thirsty… but before… and make several because it takes time to work… it's not ''the way to go'' but a last resort…
I have the same build as you have JJ… plus 20 years on my back… I can feel your struggle…
A knife would be my choice too… not the only one though…
