SURFING TOFINO AS BIG HOLIDAY STORM HITS – VANCOUVER ISLAND CANADA (RAW POV)

El Niño kicked into full steam right as the holidays approached here on Vancouver Island. In Tofino and across the entire west coast a series of back to back big storms are making landfall, each bigger and more powerful than the last and accompanied by gale force winds, and hundreds of atmospheric river type rains of over 100mm per day flooding and closing roads and making the power flicker on and off. This session was at the very beginning of the first system that showed up, and wish I got to make it out of a few more of those barrels but it was a great warm up for what was to come. Since then we’ve been hunting high and low and stacking tons of crazy sessions so keep your eyes out for more videos coming soon!
