Surfer Tries Stand Up Paddle Boarding For the FIRST TIME in GNARLY WAVES!

First time trying out a 10’6” stand up paddle board today in some heavy surf! Way harder than I thought especially in big waves! Stoked on trying out something new and also scoring some epic waves on the 8 foot! Baja Mexico overstoked dreams for the win!! YEWWW!! – C Dub #1199 08/28/22 #CVLOGS

  1. I was actually surprised it didn't snap the leash on first wave. To be honest it looked like it could handle 1-2 ft waves and be a tone of fun. Homie had the right set up with the fiberglass. On that note, now think what a 8ft fiberglass can do over the gravy boat. Not hating just facts.

  3. Great job for first run on the sup!!
If in Ventura area ever hit me up. Got a bunch of sups you can try.
My first tip is use your paddle for balance and hooking turns. Surfers have no idea what to do with the paddle on the wave. I love it!! You rock!
    Dig your attitude!
If you time Ventura right I can get you to the island for a surf on the boat. It’s a great day run!

  4. Determination is next to none.
Just keep the paddle slightly above water on wave side of board and glide it along to help balance when needed.
Also if you jam it in water behind front two fins will help ya turn the board with less effort..
    keep up the Stoke.
    Peace from Aus.
