» ABOUT THE GAME
Sumerians is a city building game set in ancient Mesopotamia. You have to fulfill your citizens needs to attract new citizens and grow by expanding your irrigation system, building walls, palaces, temples and ziggurats. Research new technologies, manage your production, hire workers, and trade. I’ll be showcasing the game and teaching how to play as I stream.

  1. A few notes:

    You never set the first oxen transport to grain only, so if you watch as the month changes from 12 to 1, it takes a few extra months to have all the oxen helping clear the fields which makes the farmers late in seeding those fields. The donkey hauler was helping you collect during those months 1-3 as the oxen finished their current jobs and returned to help the fields, but those are gone now.

    You now only have 2 transports of any type for the entire city and when you change the 1st one to grain only then only the one by the flax fields will be left. Adding a third oxen for the east/south-east side of the city is needful.

    You seemed very limited on your available state workers this whole episode, maybe changing the research to all the technologies that add state workers then queue the trade and brass research.

  7. Western Civilian farmer #1: Have you heard? The eastern canal now has bridges, why has the great Rhad in the sky forsaken us?

    Western civilian Farmer #2: He has a plan for us all, look at our calf muscles, surely we can leap across this, no?

    Station Manager Dan: In the past few weeks, civilian farmer bodies have been washing up on the shores of the western canal, clearly, some form of ritual is going on. That is the subject on tonight's 'Point – Counterpoint' Jane will take the Anti ritual point, and I will be taking the Pro ritual counter point. Jane?

    Jane: Dan, clearly the Western civilian Farmers are simply looking for a quicker route to cross the canal. Bridges would solve this, there are no rituals going on over there, Dan?

    Dan: Jane you ignorant sloot.
