It is incorrect to say that other people died better than Jesus. It is wrong and a misrepresentation because he was strong the whole time he did not cry out and ask God why he was merely quoting the psalms. When the Centurion saw his death, he said Surely this is the son of God because he should’ve died of asphyxiation and running out of breath, but he had a loud voice still, and he didn’t even bow his head until he gave up the ghost.
Davis Anthony Lee Ronald Wilson James
The first time I heard that other people died better than Jesus, I actually thought somewhat the same as what you mentioned, until I understood that the reason why it looked like the disciples or other men seemed to die better is because Jesus is actually taking my place. I deserved to be forsaken by God the Father. I should die the worst and not better at all, but Christ exchanged places with me. Christ took what I deserved and died on the cross on my behalf. More than that, He also imputed His perfect righteousness to me so that I can be acceptable to God the Father. That truth humbles me to the dust and this makes me give my life, my all to Him, my Savior.
