  1. Got my Pixel 7 Pro for $900. iPhone 14 Pro Max costs $2000!!!! Insane!!! Here in Canada. Returned my iPhone and got the Pixel. Loooovvvee 💓💓💓the Pixel and got it for half the price. Don't fall for the Apple hype

  2. I was able to get the Pixel 7 Pro for less than 1/2 the price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max after the Black Friday pricing and a trade-in. No such discount on the iPhone and no trade-in for non-Apple products. To me the iPhone is not worth twice the price. I'm not a power user and don't need the more powerful chip in the iPhone. Also, the Pixel seems to have better useability for the phone part of the phone. As an old fart, making and taking calls are important to me and screening calls from unknown numbers is a godsend. And lets not even mention the USB C port vs Apple's connector. Maybe things will change with the iPhone 15 Pro or Ultra. I'm thinking of switching to the iPhone only for the AirTags. Apple's ecosystem means nothing to me as I don't want to be tied in Apple only apps. I like remaining agnostic.

  3. $300 difference??? ($899 vs $1099). And I've seen a number of reports that say the Pixel screen is 10-120 Hz (not 1-120) but can't confirm. Other than that thx for the report.

  4. Honestly, if a person is ready to spend 900$ on a phone would probably upscale the limit to 1099 to get a more premium phone that lasts longer.
Pixel this year is undoubtedly the most improved phone, but….. Still not enough
iPhone is a more reliable device on many aspects like Camera, OS, battery life, durability, performance. These are the most important things someone checks before buying a phone.
Also ads man!!!! Google tracks everything and culprit for various information leaks throughout the years. So, I’m not daring to buy a direct google product to sell my information 😂.
Anyways good review brother!!! Liked the way you recommended…

  6. Just saw the thermals of the Pixel 7 Pro retested. They were terrible pre-update, where the 4K video stopped after just 8 mins. Now it stops after 16 mins. This is def the Achilles Heel of the P7P, poor thermals. But to get that, Google dims the display a lot. So if you live in a hot climate and/or do a lot of videos, then the Pixel is a def no-no.

I would say this is an easy choice. If you have the money, get the iPhone, but if you don't, the Pixel is cheaper and although not nearly as good a phone, at least it is more affordable.

  7. Nice review, although the title threw me. I don’t consider the iPhone 14 Pro Max a waste of my money since it pairs shockingly well with my M1 Pro compared to my Android device (Note20U). There’s also all the “betters” you point out. Having said that, had my Dell XPS remained my main laptop, I’d definitely pick up the Pixel 7 Pro or wait for the S23 Ultra. It’s all apples and oranges to me—pardon the half pun!

  8. I tried both the Pixel 7 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max for 30 days and this is what I found. The iPhone is super premium feeling and I do like the flat panel. The battery life is seriously "beast mode" level… It's pretty amazing. The video is super nice and the interface is usually pretty slick. On the other hand, the keyboard is not at all good. Voice typing is way slow and very inaccurate. Siri is limited to controlling phone functions. I found myself trying workarounds to incorporate Google into my iPhone experience because it works better. That Dynamic Island is intrusive to me and it always seemed in the way to me. Finally, iPhone needs to take some lessons from Pixel on their notifications… I absolutely did not like how Apple handles notifications… It was just bad. As for the Pixel 7 Pro, the hardware doesn't feel quite and premium and the video, while acceptable, is nowhere near what iPhone can do. I am also not a fan of the curved edges on the display. That said, daily use with the Pixel is just a better experience. Notifications are excellent and the keyboard is significantly better and voice typing is light years ahead. Navigating the device is more intuitive because the swipe back feature is ever-present across all apps. There are some things I wish that Pixel would take from iPhone but overall, I prefer the Pixel 7 Pro.

  9. I happen to use both but tbh (it doesn’t really have actual reasons or makes sense) but I simply prefer the usage of an iphone. Im an apple fan boy lol (pixel is good though)

  10. I have both the 14pro max and the P7 and I have to say that I was only planning on trying the P7 pro and sending it back…that was about 2 months ago and I haven't switched my esim back to my 14pro max yet. I really love the new P7 Pro…for me it's just a better phone…not that my 14pro max is a slouch but the P7 Pro is just …more fun to use 8n general

  11. I honestly believe that my pixel 4 XL took better portrait mode photos then my pixel 6 pro ever has! Now, I don't know this for sure, as I no longer own a 4xl to compare them, but I can remember being amazed by 8/10 portrait mode photos that I took with it!

  12. Used to own a 14 Pro Max and decided to switch to 7 Pro. 14 Pro Max is obviously the superior phone but 7 Pro meets my needs as well. iOS is reliable but boring while AOSP is a breath of fresh air. No complaints on both phones. In our country, 14 Pro Max 256 is almost double the price of 7 Pro 128. I realized that I do not have to spend more just to get satisfied. I am staying away from brand new iPhones for now. Value for money, 13 Pro Max will be more worth it at least up to two years from now. Hopefully, Google will not increase the prices heavily so I can still afford switching to new ones. Since the Pixels are not officially supported in our country, I avoid keeping Pixels in my hand for long to avoid issues due to wear and tear.

  13. I don't know if I missed it but did you mention the most important things you use a phone for ? Like
Hold for Me: Allows you to leave your phone when you're on hold.
Call Screen: Informs you of spam callers.
Wait Times: Estimates the time you'll wait on hold.
Direct My Call: Transcribes automated menus.
Clear Calling: Reduces background noise in calls.
    Great voice assistant
    Speech to text
    Great keyboard
    Back gestures
    Voice transcription
Answer and stop alarms with your voice
    Etc
Pixel is light years ahead of iphone in these things
I have seen a lot of pixels in the wild than I have ever seen before even at my work. I have a 6a and love it. One of my friends got an iPhone 14 pro and I can tell he doesn't like it but keeping it for the hype. Kind of sad.

  14. You can always tell iphone user reviews because they will give props to Android phones say it is good, even recommend it but they would never use it themselves 😂😂😂 so the videos are just purely for YouTube not because they actually try to use the phones

  15. I don't like iOS or that hideous cutout and I don't like face unlock. I have owned Google phones for the last nine years. I think the Android software experience, especially the one from Google, is far better than iOS.

Having said all that I'm actually leaning towards an iPhone for one simple reason….battery life. Battery life on Android phones is disappointing but the battery life on the Pixel 7 phones is just terrible. For all the things I don't like about the iPhone the battery life kills anything offered by Android phones and especially Pixel phones. The only reason I haven't bought an iPhone already is how much I don't like iOS but the more frustrated I get with the battery life of Android phones the more seriously I consider an iPhone.

  16. Nothing to note about how crappy iTunes is and how easy it is to import movies and mp3s on a pixel. While I do have an m1 Mac book air, that I use to fire up chrome for the most part. Apples locked down interface blows. Good hardware but I want to rip my own cds and DVDs. I don't need apple store telling me I pirated all my stuff… Prove it. I prefer the pixel screen over apple. For the geek, the pixel is the way to go
