  1. I really like the base gameplay but I just didn't warm up to it yet. I think as soon as all skill trees and custom character creation is in, I will give it another try! It's definitely something to look out for.

  2. My greates WTF moment was when I was eating only meat and no vegies so no vitamins. My resistance went down and I was poisoned very easily.

  3. Always love the Stoneshard content. Its such a great basis for a game, just wish it would go a little faster. Luckily I have enough to play until they finish, but I cannot wait for this one to be done. at least a 1.0 patch.

  4. Feel like its just not the time for indies rn. We're getting big name releases for the next few months. Then all the new announcements. Its not just you in a slump for indies.

  5. As a spokesperson for Big Rhubarb I want to remind you all that rhubarb is super healthy for your gut. It's one of the best veggies you can have to induce positive change in your gut microbiome and it's also cheap. If you want to make a gut-boosting marmalade, cook chopped rhubarb, wait for it to cool down a bit, and then mix in some spoonfuls of inulin

  6. You can find npc trainers who can teach you skill trees. Some in Osbrook, some in Mannshire. Most skills have trainers. Other than that, there is the scribe in Mannshire stronghold who sells alot of Treatises and also the Printhouse in Brynn. Also some mage Treatises in The Rotten Willow Tavern.

  7. those empty flasks/bottle can carry water too, which you can throw at fires on the floor. I've tried dousing myself when I'm on fire, but have had no luck with that yet.

  8. sidenote on rhubarb: if treated right, you can prepare many nice things with it with little effort, from sweet to savoury, from dessert topping to condiment to a fancy chef's game or fowl dinner. it's a sesasonal staple over here in AT, EU. just don't do the classic american (and, sadly, quite common[wealth]) thing: "raw no good", so "preparing" veg/fruit by just boiling them to death in plain water until you're left with a tasteless mush 😶

  9. On the rhubarb comment: Back before modern convenience, strawberry was exceptionally seasonal. You could only really get it during a specific time and in specific places. However, rhubarb is a fairly hardy crop that can grow in a wide variety of areas. So it might not be as good, but it was always available. That's at least the historical take on it, anyway.

  10. Splat, have you ever had strawberry ruhbarb pie, and or cake? That is the wombo combo! I can understand people not liking the rub, its an acquired taste for some. However, get yerself a slice or chunk of that strawberry ruhbarb pie/cake from a good source, trust me, i know the nom noms well.

  11. I think the hunger stuff needs a slider for customization, this is not Fear and Hunger, there is no magic hunger in Stone Shard, the game is already punishing enough, it does not need more busy work, this and save button😢

  12. The details of the game are something that surprised me a lot. for example, when was the last time when it mattered who you sell what items to? You collected herbs? the alchemist buys them for from you for the highest price. the blacksmith takes swords and daggers, but Maces and shields? they go to the carpenter.
My current gripe with the game is that i would wish at least an extra skillpoint at the start of the game. there is currently so many passive skilltrees and skills, that the early game is way too slow and you are way too weak. the early game is more frustration than fun.
