I’ve gotta admit, I really like Aerosmith’s cover of “Come Together” on the Pepper’s soundtrack. But yeah, the movie is so bad it’s sort of fun to watch…maybe with a few cocktails
Great video Mazzy I had a few of these and will be digging out l this and WW2 which I got in a sale about 18 months after it came out! I got the Sgt pepper one as well quickly moving on 😂 👍
Great Video Massy! A few years ago I downloaded the CD and movie all this and WW2 off a file sharing site. The CD and DVD is sold on amazon and ebay for a small fortune🎉
Great Video Mazzy I found the soundtrak and movie on a file sharing site. The CD and DVD of all this and World War 2 are outta print and sold on amazon and Ebay for a small fortune. Tommy London Symphony Orchestra i have on quadrophonic sounds amazing. To me it's a preview of what they did on the 1989 tour when they ended it with shows in LA and New York with an all star cast. I saw the who reunions in 1989 and 1996 in Vancouver BC.
Literally doing a Beatles cover playlist on my iTunes after realising how many [good] covers I had, not just from various artists but genres too. A lot of them I prefer over The Beatles originals because some of the song were the first versions I heard as a kid. This compilation looks interesting. Thanks for this.
Whoa! Hold on there young fella! You gave Frankie Valli the short shrift on that track! The way they mix the “I Want You (She’s so Heavy)” riff into the bridge is effing phenomenal! Love, Kazzy
Couple of suggestion. Our Leo – I don't think it was issued in the U.S. but The Very Best of Leo Sayer covers the period 1973 thru 1979 taking in When I Need You, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing plus things like One Man Band and Just A Boy from his more singer songwriter era. Heck it does include Let It Be too. On U.K. Chrysalis CDL 1222.
For Helen Reddy, shouldn't be a hard find being issued on Capitol, Greatest Hits from 1975 issued in most territories covers those clasic early 70's singles beloved of radio.

Used to run Stardust at a rep movie theater I ran in the 80s and 90s. Available as DVD or BluRay from Europe, so you would need a player that can play that region.
Ha! ha! I bought this box with my lawn mowing money & was completely disappointed. I’ve no idea what happened to it but now, after all these yrs I wish I kept it for its novelty & for Peter Gabriel’s contribution. At the time I didn’t know who he was. Thanks for making this video.
SNAP!!! I watched Gutenberg's video too, and immediately found myself a copy of this album… I have discovered quite a few incredible albums via Steve's advocacy. Great to have your personalized video tour of this forgotten gem.
This is another good one. You have a good narrative style, and you make me want to hear this album. I saw that Tommy orchestral album at an antique store recently, and I just might go get that one, too (though I doubt I'll find it for only a dollar).
The music (orchestration) is good, but the vocals are terrible. For instance, P. Gabriel on Strawberry Fields. One of the comments on the performance: 'Is he trying to sound like Kermit the frog?'
Steve was great in Police Academy as well! 😊
FYI, $4.50 in 1976 is $25 In today’s money ☺️
I bet Frankie Lane had trouble ordering a taxi. It's a confusing address sounding name he has going on there.
Ambrosia was from Long Beach, CA. Had a handful of Top 40 hits that were decent.
Have the Culture Factory "vinyl replica" CD edition. All the same packaging, even the t-shirt order form!
Peter Gabriel sings "Strawberry Fields Forever"! Fantastic! He then used the same orchestra on his first – and best – solo LP.

Great video. It's pronounced Staytus Quo by the way….

Frankie Layne covered a Move song, Don’t Make My Baby Blue with a killer fuzz guitar solo.
Excellent video – FOMO got me : picked up a NM copy very cheaply
Man I follow your vids for quite some time, why the adds?

Name me another act other than The Beatles with such a diverse list of other artists covering their material.
Thanks Mazzy. Just picked this up! 🙌
Best Beatles cover IMHO Spooky Tooth 1970 cover of I Am a Walrus, nothing else comes close.

I also have a copy of that record. I got it as a extra from an order on discogs and I like it. But my version looks a bit different.
