Stellaris UNITED NATIONS OF SOL Phase 005 Project Gateway Canon Ball

(SUMMARY NARRATIVE BASED ON ROLEPLAY PLAYTHROUGH SESSION IN STELLARIS)

The UNS had finally achieved victory in the Human-Prikkiki Ti Purification war, but the aftermath of the conflict left the UNS struggling to maintain order and stability within its own space.

Slowly but surely, the UNS managed to rejuvenate its economy and was better than ever before. With the revitalized economy, the UNS embarked on a renewed interest in terraforming planets, and the grand project of reconstructing the ruined ecumenopolis world of New Singapore to its former glory.

As the UNS began to rebuild New Singapore,. The Prikkiki Ti, who had been forced into labor, began to resent the UNS and its actions. They saw the rebuilding of New Singapore as a reminder of their own suffering and oppression.

August 20, 2293, the UNS launched a project called “Project Gateway Canon” with the goal of reestablishing contact with Earth. The project involved activating the gateway megastructure inside the capital system of the UNS homeworld, Sanctuary, using techniques that the “White Star Initiative” had used to activate a similar structure in the Sol System a century prior. Science officer Martin Becker was chosen to lead the expedition aboard the science vessel UNS Sagan, and the UNS anxiously awaited the outcome of the mission.

June 3, 2294, the UNS scientists were successful in briefly activating the gateway, long enough for the UNS Sagan to pass through before the gateway became unstable and shut down. On June 13, 2296, Two years after the science vessel was sent, the gateway flickered to life without warning, and something emerged from the glowing gateway core. The metal object, which was later identified as the science vessel UNS Sagan, did not respond to hails or emit any signals. Its true nature was unknown until the UNS government managed to get a clear visual feed.

The UNS Sagan had been sent through the gateway many months ago, but it had aged far beyond that. Scanners indicated that the ship was over a thousand years old. The crew was missing, with only dust remaining on board, but some intact data recordings were salvaged.

The fate of Martin Becker and his crew remains a mystery. They were officially declared missing, and overall contact with Earth remains impossible. The UNS project was declared a failure, and all details of the project were classified. The events were never made public, leaving the UNS to ponder the implications of what had occurred.

The UNS government was left to grapple with the implications of the message left by the crew member, the mystery of the missing crew and the question of what did they encounter in the gateway. Many theories were formulated but none were confirmed, the truth remains unknown and the UNS was left with more questions than answers.

In 2295 tensions are high again in the UNS Southern borders. The stellar systems that were abandoned during the closing days of the Human-Prikkiki Ti purification war are now being occupied by the Ferbanite Death Lords, a dangerous and fanatical lithoid race.

The UNS, determined to prevent a repeat of the mistakes of the past, declares a preemptive war against the Ferbanites on April 13th. The UNS launches a devastating attack, destroying several Ferbanite starbases and systems, along with their fleet near the border.

On August 15 2297 The Ferbanite Campaigns have finally come to an end, and the UNS is eager to establish order on the occupied world and set up a puppet government named Sovereign State of Ferbanite. , labeling it a “prospectorium” vassal and buffer state against the Ferbanite Fanatic purifiers. But as the UNS begins to breathe a sigh of relief, another conflict arises on the southern borders.

The UNS launches a quick and decisive offensive on March 02, 2303, determined to totally dismantle the Prikkiki Ti threat once and for all. The battles rage on for months, on October 25, 2304, the UNS emerges victorious.

The UNS government establishes another buffer state, the Stellar Nation of Prikkiki Ti, which will act as a “Scholarium” class of Vassal state. The UNS governments military campaigns on its southern border were successful and exceeded the wildest expectations of UNS military planners.

The victory is met with mixed reactions with its people. The UNS is hailed as a savior by some, while others see it as a ruthless conqueror. The establishment of puppet states raises ethical questions about the treatment of the conquered people.

the UNS officials knew that the victory came at a cost. The lives of soldiers lost, the destruction of the land and cities, the displacement of people, and the ethical dilemmas of the puppet governments. They knew that the peace and security they have now can’t be maintained forever, and they must find a way to reconcile with the conquered people and establish a lasting peace.

As the war ends, the UNS is left to grapple with the weight of its actions, and the question of what comes next.”
