Hey I know is a stupid question but Girl Frontline 2 that Is coming to steam is worth to consider for its Tatical Turn base gameplay?
There are a lot of XCOM-likes on this list. Going back to the interview you discussed a few days ago, where a gaming exec opined (to paraphrase) "in tactics games, only XCOM sells". You can really see the industry attitude towards strategy in this selection of titles ^_^;
I wanted to add that Triangle Strategy is also on sale. I have not personally played, but I have heard a lot of good word of mouth about it, with a lot of the community conversation being that it is a modern classic, a great successor to Tactics Ogre/FFT, etc..
I tried Rogue Trader coop but there was way too much dialogue and not enough combat to make it work. Great solo game though
Not a lot of great discounts IMO. Nothing on my 30+ title wishlist got more than a 45% cut and most got nothing or 10-20%.

Especially if you're chomping at the bit for more BG3.

Since you include alot of turn based tacticals games in your list try Disgaea 7
1-) Steam sells game copies, if you buy a p2w game it is your fault, not Steam's. There are Reviews you can read.
2-) Some of the games look "retro" by choice. Chroma Squad looks 90s and it just fits into the game.
3-) I have been on Steam for 14 years and never saw a 20$ "demo". Just use the "Refund" option in your case.
4-) Adding new levels to a game is developer's choice, not Steam's. Again, Steam sell the copies, Steam is not going to release Darkest Dungeon 3 by itself…

Miasma Chronical was such an underrated game, gorgeous visuals, great world building and awesome combat. Probably more like Mutant Zero than Xcom.

Phoenix Point with the Terror From The Void mod is a must. You should not play this game without it. The only downfall is you need all the DLC for this mod to work.
Be prepared chaos gate daemonhunters will run like absolute dogshit 99% of the time as it has a serious memory leak that the developers have to date not bothered to fix.
