Can someone please make a rap/metal music video out of this? With the title The Elden Ring Incident?
Love how the dude got mad and made a reddit post, meanwhile I know about 5 people, and myself, who have done Radahn with melee without summons. Summons are there to make the fights easier, for people who struggle, just like it was in all the previous Souls games. You could always summon and make the fight easy, but there's a lot of people who refused to play the game that way. Same goes for Elden Ring, summoning is a mechanic designed to go easy mode, which is fine, if you wanna beat the game and speed up your progression. But again, if you don't use summons, you'll get better at the game faster, and you'll have an easier time later on.
It's pretty funny how this dude is so confident in what he's saying, even though it's almost obvious this is his first souls game from the way he's actually talking about the fight "being designed so you have to use summons".
I can’t believe people like this actually exist 💀 Asmond was literally doing more than enough damage with his Halberd to solo Radahn and people were saying it’s mandatory to summon or ‘you can’t beat it without summons’

I get providing help if people are having trouble, but if they don't want help then you need to stop. "This boss was designed for summons to be used" no it wasn't no boss in the game is "designed" for summons. Summons are an addition to the game to make fights play out differently you don't need summons to kill a single boss in elden ring its just something extra to have fun with. I personally loved summoning an army against Radahn but that's not asmons playstyle, Elden ring (for the most part) is pretty supportive of every players play style to say the boss is "designed" to be fought with summons is incompetent

Fighting bosses in elden can be simple all you have to do is farm for runes for a couple of hours and level your stats that you need such as strength, and dexterity as a sample and a 2 handed weapon then you can become a bigger bad ass go really heavy and hardcore that’s what it’s all about let’s not forget stamina too. I remember pvping a lot nearly killed everyone
Asmon theyre just mad because they aren't as good as you, they had to use summons while you a mega Chad didn't have to at all. Screw those people that can't just enjoy a stream

Dark souls fans are special in the fact that they are the only group of fans that will actually get upset if you are optimizing and doing well. It’s so cringe. You are not special because you played the game the “correct way”.
Lol in my experience that boss only has 2 good ways to really kill him.
1. U use summons and ranged attacks to cheese the boss and he's pretty easy
2. You use melee and if you do hes actually easier without summons
I know that sounds like madness, but when you have summons he becomes very unpredictable and can change targets mid combo and thats what usually makes the fight really hard… so Asmon was basically just ahead of the META is what I'm saying 🤣🤣

Unpopular opinion: Radahn was not very difficult, took me 6 tries to do him.

Seeing how someone else plays a game differently then you, is precisely why people watch streams.
If you want to use summons, use them. If you don't want to use summons, don't use them. Play the freaking game how you want to. If you would rather grind to level 115 and get a maxed weapon before you fight a required boss, do it. You can do the entirety of the game without summons. You could also get your Mimic Tear to +10 and just watch it kill the boss for you in instances. Just because Asmon plays the game or boss fight different that you it doesn't mean a freaking thing. If you want to skip Stormveil Castle and go straight to Liurnia of the Lakes, go for it. Play the game how you want to and don't cry that people play it differently than you.
As an side the Golden Halberd is a pretty great weapon for Str/Faith build.
I liked the fact that he beat radahn on horseback. I gave up on the horse after realizing at close range he would just punch your ticket during dismount stagger

Play the game how you enjoy to play it. If the boss dies and you had fun, mission complete. I replay the souls games over and over to find the most quirky ways to kill each boss.
