  1. It's honestly pretty awesome how much is unique to Days like all of these status effects. (Especially cause most of them are ones from Final Fantasy, and it's always nice to see FF references that aren't characters popping up imho. I have nothing against FF characters being there, but it would be nice to see more FF stuff that isn't characters or Moogles be referenced)

  2. 3:58 i would actually love to have the lvl1 status effect in kh4, i know it would be annoying at some point but it would also be fun too, like when you get that the game basically tells you hey wake up time to lock in or you done

  4. While jolt does have the contact damage, it also has the same damage amp as aero. This makes thundaga particularily strong due to its high jolt chance and hitting twice.

  5. 5:48 ,Actually there's a third way to nullify a status condition in Day's but this is a option only privy to mission mode.
Each Organization XIII member has a built in resistance that scales with their level from 10-100% (ex. Axel has Ignite res, Xaldin wind-toss etc)
    Very well edited video btw.

  6. oh this is super helpful, me and a friend are showing the entirety of KH to two of our friends who are unfamiliar, and I'm gonna be the one showing off Days since it has my favorite story in the series, but despite it being the first KH game I played, I don't know a lot of its intricacies, so knowing what all the status effects do is gonna be a big help!

  7. Itโ€™s been a while since I played Days but I remember how these status effects gave me a bunch of headaches. While annoying, they added depth to the battle system. Plus, it was always fun to use these to deal massive damage to enemies.

  8. As for the thumbnail, hereโ€™s my head-canon:

    1. Larxene irritated Saรฏx too much during his brooding time. Demyx did several sitar solos in celebration.
    2. Marluxia got a big whiff of the wrong plants (if you know what I mean). While it canโ€™t be proven, Xigbar was likely responsible for the mixup.
    3. Axel screwed around in Vexenโ€™s Laboratory. That or he dropped Sea Salt Ice Cream on some research notes.

  9. You did mention that each status is element based and thus linked to an Organization element, but Iโ€™d also like to point out that itโ€™s the only way those elements come into play when selecting the members in Mission Mode (also still applies to Roxas in Story Mode). Each Organization member has a built in 10% resistance to their respective status.

Which isโ€ฆnice, I guess? Not enough to really help at allโ€ฆ

  10. Honestly I hope KH4 does something similar. KH3 had a step in the right direction introducing more status effects but I've always appreciated the variety of effects in the side titles. Particularly DDD.

  11. You know those Possesor heartless? That attack when they latch onto you is nil-type, as well as the "poison" clouds the Leechgrave produces. So with 100% nil resist, you become completely immune to Possesors, and can ignore the poison during the Leechgrave fight. However, 0 damage is still counts as taking a "hit", meaning in challenge missions with the "don't get hit" challenge will still fail you for no-selling nil-type attacks.

  12. I think apart of why there are so many different magic types and statuses is because of Mission Mode…. as every Organization member is playable and each one of them has a natural resistance to one of the status, with each status being attributed to the element said rigization member wields (Axel has fire, and is harder to ignite… Luxord has time, and doesn't have his DEF rewound as often, ect.).
Would have been a nice touch if they also had inherent abilities to force said status onto opponent's, could have helped differentiate their playstyles a bit more.

  13. Hmm most of them are coming back to kh recoded and even added more. Well no surprise the dev learn what's best from days and bbs and 2 to almost perfection in combat gameplay.
