Starfield Ships | Nova Galactic Apollo Lander [Class B]

Starfield gameplay with DeLindsay. So I finally decided to make a Class B Ship and figured it’d be a great way to test out my Ship building skills for a Nova Galactic themed Ship. The idea is this is a ‘Drop Ship’ that carries pre-manufactured Habs directly to their location on whichever Planet or Moon they’ve decided on, then comes back to the Shipyard to grab another.

  2. Love these themed builds with their own lore! Very cool 🤙 I spent hours last night trying to make a sad boy solo vengeance fighter after (spoilers) I lost Sarah. But I need too much cargo and I didn't feel like transferring it all to the lodge.
Ps – is there a way to do the "glitch" on Xbox?

  3. On PC, There are two mods named "SFSE Save Unfinished Ships" and "Call Your Ship". I haven't thought to try this, but in theory you could use the two together to place the bottom half of your design on a planet as a base. Combine that with one of the mods that allows for owning more ships and you have a nucleus that you could build a standard base around. Very cool concept, thanks for sharing!

  4. This is a really cool idea. I bounced around the idea of a multi-function transport vessel but couldn't choose between being 'inspired' by the Eagle Transporter design from Space: 1999 or the original Thunderbird 2 (yes, I'm old). Also, the look is interesting as I thought NG doesn't have a set look (like Deimos or Taiyo does) with their ships of the line. More function than aesthetics with lots of cool, spiky NASA-punk stuff (pipes!!!). And great RP for the history and reason for the design. Like I have hinted before, if they did a quest for spamming ship warranties, they need to do one for, perhaps, an annual ship design contest and you can choose who you work with that year. That way you can get faction gear (UC for Deimos, Taiyo for Ryujin, etc).

Also, I did a healthy start onto my Crossbow last night, which is mostly Nova Galactic as the devs made her, but my OCD goes nuts with the 'clutter' of some of the habs (sorry, I like neat ships). Did borrow your idea of having the landing bay go straight to a 3×3 cargo hall. Spent maybe 4 hours on it last night.

Also, for your level 1 pre-made hab, if it was a little larger, it would be good to have a single cross hallway running through the centerline and put more sensitive areas (living, infirmary) in the center and work outward (cargo as a 2nd ring, armory and workshops on the outer ring). And yes, those 4×4 Galleon holds are heavy!!! As such, I'm down on cargo capacity as I wanted to keep the ship >95 mobility despite being a long range interceptor (my Crossbow IV) but not have 6 SAL-6830 engines (wanted to reserve some reactor for the weapons).

  5. Buddy, Great Work. Just like the Hopetech ship with a 'crane', this one also is such a curveball and out of the box in a way that Does make A Lot of sense, congratulations for building those ships, great ideas. Those makes me hope to see more and more utilities for ships in Starfield, they could so such much more, maybe with the community building like this might give the devs more things to add later, because I'm sure modders will give us support in that.
Can't wait for the next builds, the Keppler, the Truck and this one vastly surprised me and helped me see new possibilities in the ship building processes. Personally, I like to build upgraded versions or variations of ships we already have in game, trying to stay on the same theme most of the time, have build only a few unique designs from scratch, still not sure if I go for the cargo ship next or build another 'personal jet style' ship, really wish to have more civilian modules and more luxury options and stuff like that. It's a bit annoying how we can make such beautyfull ships but with military or cheap interior, while Nova, despite being my favourite in many ways, have an interion that's quite a mess some times, would love to see a Nova Galatic interior with Deimos levels of organization, hahahahaha.
Keep up the Great Work, Buddy! Loving the content.

  6. As someone who likes smaller ships, I never thought of doing this "gapped" style to get a layer separation. 3+ layers feels bulky a lot of times. Might have to try this to avoid the dreaded ladder maze until the Creation Kit saves us.🙏

  7. I’d love to see your take on a “courtyard” ship where you have a protected landing bay that lets out into an open center. I’d see it as an explorer’s craft, where you can expand into living in the courtyard on habitable worlds, but make it harder for nasty critters to attack the camp. Maybe with some ventral turrets to blast ground level trouble.
