STARFIELD IS AMAZING! Starfield Direct Reaction

STARFIELD IS AMAZING! Starfield Direct Reaction

The Starfield Direct happened this weekend and we streamed it live. This is my full reaction to all the gameplay, story elements, combat and everything else Starfield. It looks amazing and they have ship customization!

  1. Starfield looks interesting but there is only one problem for me, I can't afford $600 for a Xbox Series X. I hate to say it but I don't feel like I got enough games for the Xbox One and Xbox One S so spending a bunch of money on a new system isn't in the cards for me right now.

  2. For the topic of Planet generation. If I remember correctly the planets themselves are the same for everyone. Anything on top of them (Caves, bases, random encounters) are procedural and different for every player.

  3. It's a shame no one will get to play it. The great tribulation is at hand. Better get right with Jesus today before its too late.

  4. Man listen you are the one that got me into no man's sky and it blew my mind now after seeing this game this will be my first game I will pre-order. I know it's going to be Buggy as I know most new games will be but once they get those things smooth out this game is going to be a legendary base game. I can see this game going on like no man's sky with so many add ons. Thank you man

  5. So something I think everyone is missing, or I missed is… The 11:00 mark. The city of Cydonia is on Mars. So that means we can travel to our solar system? If so then what of Earth? They for sure are not going to be able to recreate Earth. So what happened to it I wonder? Nuked? Volcano? Global warming? Elon blow it up? Maybe an astroid? Now I am hooked again because I just gotta know!

  6. The first time they showed the waTch I wanted one. Then they said I could have one. OMFG. So excited I'm gonna wet myself. Oh dear God let me live till September comes. I will be 68 in September and kind of envy the 12 year olds buying this game. I shit you not THIS is THE best looking game I have ever seen.

  8. let's be realistic and analyze things well.
at the time of the 1st trailer until this presentation little has changed, in the game images that showed before.
one of the things that is scaring me the most is the AI of the NPCs that are very weak; In all the images that showed the combat inside the bases and on the planet, we didn't see a single shot hitting the character, they shoot in all directions, even to the ceiling, (watch carefully if you see the images in slow motion).
something that was already happening in the 1st trailer several months ago, and that from what they show is the same!!! strange???
the absence of multiplay in this game also seemed strange to me, since it is not worth cataloging the planets to register the 1st visitor.
I've played more games from this company (Fallout 76, DOOM Eternal, The Elder Scrolls) and I really liked it, but I was waiting for something better from them, so far I feel that they are selling something that is not even half produced yet, looking like who are doing the same as Star Citizen did.
attention this criticism is just my personal opinion as a gamer, nothing against the company or whoever is cataloging the game as a great revelation. (because I already had the opinion before that it would be the game of the year, unfortunately, as it turns out, I had to modify that thought)

  9. Some clarity on the "procedural generation" of planets. I think a better wording would be procedural placement. All of the content is crafted by hand, but procedurally placed when you land.

The planets themselves will be the same biomes and terrain every time. The terrain went through the same procedural generation to create it that they do for all of their games, then again as they've always done, those large riles of terrain are hand decorated and then put into a system that stitched them together to create an entire planet. This was all done in development. When playing, you visit these planets and upon landing, the planet is procedurally populated with harvestable ores, resources, and animals that match the current biome and then hand-made buildings, caves, settlements, outposts, etc. are procedurally placed down, and the quests you find will be dynamic and specific to that planet the way things populated. This is similar to how Daggerfall generated it's content. There are no assets in this game that get procedurally created in real-time, everything is handmade, so there's about a 99% chance that if you play long enough there will be eventual repetition in biomes, plants, structures, quests, etc. That's not inherently a bad thing, but it's important to go into the game understanding that and expecting it so you aren't disappointed because you misunderstood how everything works. They likely generated enough content to fill out the average person's expected game length and not assuming that most players will explore every single inch of the galaxy as that would probably take multiple years to be honest. Just going from planet to planet would take weeks to travel to them all. For every single planet to be completely unique, they would have needed to custom make tens of thousands of NPC's, animals, harvestables, buildings, quests, each. and that's just not feasible.. at least not likely to any degree.

Again, this is not a negative comment, just informative. I'm completely fine with all of this and will be dead to the world for months come September!

  10. Im excited for the story, i think it will explore what it means to be human and what our place may end up being in the universe, through faction choises and what lies beyond the human centric story through first contact.

The first dlc Shattered space to me sounds like it refers to the event's that destroyed the artifacts we are looking for, which when reassembled seem to make a gate way through time and space.

Mostly im excited to step out into a new universe and experience the type of wonder, Bethesda has learnt how to built over the years since morrowind, but from the very beginning of a franchise.

  11. starfield is a bugthesda game automatically makes it a shit game… iv not saw 1 single decent game from bugthesda in decades they are all lazily designed bug filled crap that never get fixed copy's on copy's sold as new updates yet exactly same game with all glitches and bugs original had and as of fallout 4 completely filled with micro transactions they deceive people with hype and advertising any idiot that falls for a bugthesda game since fallout 3 deserves to be ripped off

  12. They probably made 100 warehouses, 100 Caves, 100 alien ruins, 1000 Individual modules like Houses or Biodomes and every planet has a chance to roll 10-20 of each and then the enemies that spawn inside are RNG rolled for each faction. I'm guessing anyway Remember Skyrim & Fallout had RNG quests. NMS is bigger than Starfield. NMS has more planets than we will ever get to see.

  13. One thing people look over i think is that there are FAR more cities. Hence the developers saying these are the CAPITAL cities insinuading that they have multiple cities across space. as well as probably small settlements. That is cool

  14. anticipating this game since hearing bout it a few years back just a friendly reminder to everyone is please keep your hype meter in check like all starts there will be bugs to fix at first its a fact of game develloping since the newer techs came out after the bugs fixed if it satisfies the itch most games out there will have another big boi to rough feathers with

  15. This game seems like the evolution and product of a 50 year of industry. Finally, finally, the true New gen has arrived. It's name, is Starfield. Its like 10 games in 1.
