  1. DEI fabrication at work. SLS tank failed welding inspection. PS Don't blame Douglas again. I flew both products both were great until. I'm the wrong; sex, color, and fought in the wrong war. All thx to DEI glad I'm retired.

  2. The same epitaph as General Motors. I started with GM in management in 1969. At that time it was run by "car guys" (engineers, sales, and marketing) and owned 52% market share of the industry. Then an amalgam of nitwits decided that price earnings ratio should become the driving force for the future. That brought in Roger Smith. The ensuing path lead to the destruction of the company. Lesson learned … never let the bean counters and lawyers run the company. Product is what the customers are buying and when it slides (as with GM) the support mechanism for price earnings ratio is out the window. I saw GM sliding and circling the drain in 1987 and left for an executive position at Toyota. After 30 years at Toyota, my observations have born out. It's the "PRODUCT" and its ongoing development that endear customers. This is why EV will not succeed. Boeing is self-directing the same path. The quality of the planes is down, their entry into the space industry is ill founded, and now the complete embarrassment of Elon being selected by NASA to rescue the astronauts.
