Space Marines vs Tyranids! 8,000+ Points Clash in an EPIC Battle! Warhammer 40,000

16,000 combined points hit the battlefield in this epic game of Warhammer 40,000. Hive fleets Leviathan and Behemoth coming together could be catastrophic for the Imperium so Guilliman has called for all Space Marines in the sector to join him in annihilating the threat. The Lion and the Dark Angels, White Scars, and Deathwatch have answered the call.

This explosive battle brought to you by Deadly Print Studios who created all the on table effects like explosions you see in this game. https://deadlyprintstudio.com/

Tyranid forces number in the 8,000 plus points and in this Open Play battle there is no cap on Norns. The Space Marines are a combined force of various chapters at a little under 8,000 points.

  1. Epic game you dudes!! Congratulations! This must have taken an obscene amount of time and effort to put together!
Maybe you could tone down on the oath of moments and maybe give the Tyranids some rule to bring back termagants and stuff each turn to make them feel even more like an endless horde or some extra regeneration to make them even more tough (maybe).
    GGs! 🙂👍🏻

  2. please explain why death leaper was not provided his fights first. how is that avoided? Tank Shock is in the Charge Phase, I get that, and that it "piles in" after the regular "fight" steps. and because he did not fight in the fight phase, still has attacks to make. But "make melee attacks". But GW does use the words "fight" in the melee description, also in the "remaining combats" it does note that ; "In this step, all remaining eligible units fight. This includes any units with the Fights First ability that were not eligible to fight at the start of the Fight phase, but have since become eligible to fight." that says to me, now that you have piled into me, and I have fights first, I would now get to fight first regardless of the "phase". Not to mention it certainly would seem this is not the intention of the Fights First rule. to be able to be circumvented in a pile in move. rare as it is, again why I do not feel this is the intention/spirt of the fights first rule.

  3. New to Warhammer so question! Does the Space Marines going first not give them a massive advantage / kind of guarantee they will win? Does the game/rules compensate the second player in anyway to kind of even that starting advantage?
