SPACE BATTLES – The Science of Sci-Fi

Thank you all so very much, not only for watching, but for the MASSIVE DARN INCREASE TO SUBSCRIBERS!!!

I’m blown away every single day by all of your kindness and enjoyment. Once we reach 500 subs I’ll gain access to certain tools on YouTube, one of which is the creation of polls with subjects for future videos that you all can now vote on!!!!!

So please subscribe! I upload about once a month and won’t fill up your sub feed with garbage. Plus I think you’ll like some of the ideas I have not only for future videos but on how to create better b-roll in different programs, if I can get them working lol. You guys rule and I’ll never forget that!

  1. With the right projectile. Space battle ranges could in theory occur as far apart from eachother as your sensors would allow. Love the vid. I hope the algorithm gods shared this video with many other people. They will like it too.

  2. I am skeptical of "science" channels with less than a thousand subs, but…you don't seem to be a flat-earth Reptilian Truther, so I'll sub and hang around for a minute. just don't get weird, aight

  3. A few more weapons ideas. One weapon that could be used to great effect is a sort of preemptive barrage of macroscopic material hurled at astronomical speed toward the enemy. The result would be a cloud of nuclear equivalent weapons blanketing the enemy’s position like the worst meteor shower imaginable. If the number of objects is high enough and the spread large enough there is nothing the enemy could do. Additionally, large yield (well over 100 megaton) nuclear weapons may also be used to clear areas for invasion/defense or for the EMP effect generated by detonation without much concern for radioactive contamination. Coms jamming may also prove particularly beneficial during battles and advances in stealth materials would allow for closer engagements and later detection.
