  1. I've seen an abundence of negative reactions to Sonic Omens. Now constructive critique is always important for sure. But the prospect of a fan game of this size being released I'd say still deserves support each time they're being made. It's hit or miss but still. They got to keep to their creative vision and didn't have to adhere to Sega mandates.

At the very least, I can support that idea. As it goes, not every "Sonic" game is for everyone. But shout out to the team that worked their butts off I'm sure to make the game happen!

  2. Never knew this game has a send off to Sonic X my mind is blown. Never played it because well my laptop is bad but seeing this video I’m very impressed a full sonic game with a story is able to be complete, voicing is a bit off but still good 9/10

  3. I really love how this game’s story connects the Sonic X story while also establishing what happened to Chip’s light Gaia ring and why we don’t see or here about the emeralds at all during Colours and Forces. Though the voice acting was a bit off putting, the story, visuals, and gameplay were all amazing!

  4. Honestly the game still doesn’t feel complete most levels are still glitchy and I’ve died to the most stupidest things because it felt like some of the levels werent built for the infinity engine. There were a few levels that were actually amazing and some of the music is to but that’s about it they still need to work on fixing a lot of bugs and the way some enemies work.

  5. My expectations going into this were mid. But let's just say… if these guys make another Sonic fangame (without the whole Patreon thing during it's early production stages) I'll be hyped. This game was incredible. Shadow having a heavy Russian accent was kinda odd but it was a passible Shadow voice. The cutscenes were well animated, gameplay was fun, and I didn't think the story was as generic and bland as I've heard people say. I would say the same for voice acting too, Shadow aside.

  7. It’s time for me been party-pooper, because I really hate this game. Because, most people I saw had serious issues playing that game. Most of the time, they all end up dying a lot on pretty much every single level type in the game. You may call this game as “best” or “good”, but to me it’s worst fully completed Sonic Fangame I ever saw in my life.

  8. Sonic Omens might be rough around the edges, but for a fan game, with what I assume is a relatively small team behind it. It is incredibly polished and well thought out. The levels look gorgeous, the music rocks, and the story is epic with a lot of fan service that doesn’t feel forced.
I would love to see what else this team ends up making, but for now they’ve deserved a long rest!

  9. Why are people dickriding this game so hard? It’s a mediocre game masked by pretty visuals, plus the developers have been directly profiting off of it, which due to being illegal, could potentially jeopardise the creation of sonic fan games as a whole.

  10. Okay, was i the only to notice all the similarities to the Ori games?

I mean you got the obvious, climbing to the top of a tree only to race out of it as it floods (i mean for god's sake they even used the OST from Blind forest in the earlier versions). But there were also a few more subtle hints. The ost has a lot of similarities, ESPECIALLY the last scene with Sonic breaking the bracelet. Chapter six had you fly through an area with purple floating rocks, spikes, and lava, much like the final area of Will of the Wisps. The themes of the protagonist needing to save their world by stopping the life force of their respective worlds being destroyed. Oh yeah, there's also a GIANT BLACK BIRD that stops progression by hunting you.
