  1. I played competitive men's fastpitch softball after college for a team ranked in the top 20 in the world by both ASA and NSA. Our pitcher was the us national pitcher and has been the assistant head coach and pitching coach for the University of Utah Utes women's softball team, still is… Anyway, after years away from baseball I played with friends and teammates from both high school and college in my first baseball game in years and went four for four with two fingers, now the guy wasn't throwing 96, but he threw in the mid to high 80's and it felt super slow to me having been playing fastpitch at 45 feet for years, and the women play at 40 feet. I believe 70 mph is the equivalent of about 96 which the better female pitchers throw, the men much harder… I for one found it harder to hit, at least the ball was on you much quicker in fastpitch softball, although the ball does move much more in baseball…

  2. There's nothing easy about hitting a baseball. It doesn't really get easier with time as the competition throws harder and harder the better their mechanics get and they age and develope.
But I can speak on it first hand, the one thing harder than hitting that 90+ mph fastball from a baseball pitcher, is stepping in the box against a pitcher standing 15ft closer and releasing the ball beneath their waist every pitch.
I give credit where credits due when it comes to these girls ballin on the softball fields across the country. It takes damn good coordination to get your bat around against a softball pitcher.

    You go girls😅
