  1. I'm still unsure about why Ryan Carniato spends so much energy trying to undermine react instead of trying to innovate more, it reflects poorly on him and by extension on his framework, which incidentally tries to cash on react's popularity by copying its concepts without VDom. It's just as if he thought that the only way to make his framework look good was pointing out how bad react is, when finds something he can complain about… It's childish and probably makes people question Solid a lot more. He does the same thing with Svelte btw… It just triggers me… If he were more humble, I'd have given Solid a chance ages ago, but his personality is plain toxic and I don't want any part of that. Sticking to React, and now also Svelte

  2. As someone who learned JS in like 2006/7 and have just come back into the space last year this doc was cool for understanding the context of then and why it led to the choices of now.
    Really well done doc.

  3. This was so awesome to watch it , especially with Theo commenting on. I have been learning JavaScript for more than a year now, and I choose a React as my primary JS framework. It was so nice to see, how all it started it.
