Single Action vs Double Action Revolvers: What’s the difference?

What’s the difference between a single action revolver (such as the various Colt Single Action Army clones, Ruger Blackhawk, Ruger Single Six, Ruger Wrangler and others) and a double action revolver (such as the various Smith and Wessons, Ruger Redhawk, GP100, Security Six and others)?

Watch to find out!

  1. "Single action mode as well as *only*" are totally redundant. Single action versus double action. Not 'single action only vs dbl ac'n mode.' You are being redundant

  2. Awesome…. I've heard determinology my whole life but now I know what it is thank you for clearing that up bro. I'm 50 years old but I live in New York City they are afraid of guns here but I love guns. I would marry a gun if it was legal

  3. Many will have the hammer spur removed, forcing a heavier double-action pull on every shot…. It will also minimize getting stuck when drawing… In Court, cocking the hammer can lead to the Jury thinking you took the time to get an accurate shot. Must not have really been in fear for life….

  4. If on a single action you do double action, and in the double action you do single, then is a single action still called single and a double called double?🤯
