I made a simple 3D model of ALICE detector. I used ALICE detector data for my thesis and it was very fun to learn about the physics of detector and really like to present to everyone how this detector works. The detector consists of many sub detectors which all together make an integrated picture of one heavy ion collision (event) by measuring tracks and ratio of different species of particles. I thought it is funny to think of it as onions and ogres, so many layers but each layer complete one part of the story. (If you are fan of Shrek:)
I used Blender which is an open source free 3D software to make this model and Render it.
