Should Prince William Have Been The King? | Royal Rivals or Father & Son | Timeline

This original programme asks how Charles and William have stayed so visibly fond of each other. A generous son to his father, and a great role model for his brother, William was always an enormous comfort for his mother. The death of a mother, the alienation of a wife and a lover in the background – these striking events somehow have not broken the love of these two men – father and son.

Unlike Charles, William is a man of his time and perhaps here is where the rivalry could emerge – what sort of image should the King have in an increasingly modern and multicultural Britain?

  2. What he wants when he wants it,a lady interviewing the people don't care if he can ride a motorcycle what can he do for the people who have been there for him? I'm an American generation and generation, and a gentleman. Climate? Dust bowl ,locust devouring every single crop ,plastic the one thing still stands for an eternity, it can be a relic of the past if Climate change is true.

  3. Made 17 years ago, this formulaic documentary has aged badly and it is difficult to understand why it is still being recommended by YouTube. 2006 is ancient history as far as intelligent Royal Watchers are concerned, and the attitudes and reputations of the primary players have moderated substantially in the intervening years. Eight months after the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Charles III is proving highly popular with his subjects and the new Prince of Wales is becoming a fine second string to the bow of the Monarchy. The slimmed-down group of 'Working Royals' has focussed attention on other valuable assets in the Family, particularly the Princess Royal, and the willingness of the Monarch to firmly and visibly lead his realm is shown by his recent attitudes to 'black sheep' such as the lamentable Andrew and irresponsible Harry, who have been put in their place with assertiveness, which has rightly rocked their assumptions of 'entitlement' to the core. Hopefully, we will soon see better documentaries and books which accurately and presciently represent the real-world visions, plans and ambitions of its leading figures for the better future of the United Kingdom in every respect.

  5. Prince William should have been crowned as the King in order not to give Camilla the title Queen. I think she doesnt deserve the title. If theres one Royal blood who should be crowned as Queen, should be Princess Anne who has been there since birth, not Camilla.
